1979: Am I that old? Yes. This is a very fine soft Los Angeles Latin version. The alto sax solo - which is a fine Jazz solo should be viewed in contrast to the East Coast, Nuevo York- Tito Puente version recorded a few years later with Mario Rivera on Piccolo and Flute. Tito and Mario are a bit more up front and less cool rhythmically in their African Latin version.

my moms would play this song and for many years....i didnt get it. i thought it was too slow, pretentious sounding, but really i was moving too fast and was the pretentious one.
such an amazing track, really captures that early sunday morning vibe with a twist of citrus.
