Make no mistake, this is an important piece of work. Mark Shreeve at his masterful best. The full album is one of the finest in my collection. Add it to yours, NOW!
Reminds me of Tangerine Dream from the 70s and early 80s. But with a different, shall we say, twist. Please do more like this and put this on Google Play. Beyond cool.
I heard Richocet by TD over 30 years ago and have been a Berlin School fan ever since. ua-cam.com/video/-IlsK5MChw4/v-deo.html They drifted off in the 80s and others have taken up the torch. There are hundreds of decent artists. Just search "berlin school" as a tag on bandcamp. You'll open up a whole new world.
11:51 something big, dark and misterious is travelling through interstellar space 13:27 ''what's that?'' it captures some old signals coming from deep space 14:24 it somehow feels our presence and is now deviating its path, turning towards us 17:10 we ignore the danger, while living our lives on that beatiful pale blue dot: planet Earth what will be our fate?
Check out some of Martin Sturtzer's work here on UA-cam if you like this. The torch has been passed to another generation of Berlin School enthusiasts.
Althought this music describes something in the space much better, than visible movements;the redshift itself is just an illusion;the light coming from other galacsies cant go throught the dark matter, which is kind of frosen-solid-proton like field;so the light comes throught the fourth dimension and when getting to our wiew it comes back from 4D to 3D with an angle, which forms the illusion of the redshift:
Mr. Malmiranta is also just an illusion. He comes through the space of the internet turned by an angle and formes therefore the illusion of a real thinking person.
Redshift is a 70s Psychedelic band existing out of time in the 90s and 2000s. However, unlike a sleuth of 70s musicians (like Schulze and Tangerine D) Redshift's music seems to be somewhat less deep, less raw, less rebellious, and more crafted, more... Well, it's hard to come up with the words. Their music seems simply more easy to just listen to and not have all the deep, heavy thoughts of those mentioned above. Their generation was less dramatic, less brutally realistic; and it can't help but show up in their music, which still can stand up to the 70s greats, but can't carry the weight those artists had on their shoulders. Their best tracks--if you'll take my opinion...which is admittedly not-so-experienced--are Darkshift, Redshift, and Turning Toward Us. The rest I suppose YOU could say better than me. I've only been just LOVING(!!) their music for...maybe 2 to 3 months! Martin O'Donnell himself could have been inspired by these guys...although they could have both simply been inspired by TD.
Such an inspirational piece - I keep returning to it over and over. One of the true gems of Berlin School. Thank you Richard for posting.
FANTASTIC suite!! Berlin school....Masters KS and TD!!! Redshift is SUBLIME!!!

6:40 - Sounds very much like Crystal Lake by Klaus Schulze, but that's good! I enjoyed that 'quote'.

Beautiful. Puts me in mind of Michael Hoenig’s Departure from the northern wasteland around 9:20. Love it.

You're welcome. Thank you :-)
Very deep and emotive. And my synesthesia loves it. Creates a very rich visual -- IS a very intense visual experience for me. Like acid, man. :)
Best thing they ever did.truly epic!
Thank you Jesus Christ for destroying all the weak and pathetic demons that try in control;)...Hallelujah and Amen !!!
The tune around 5:36 reminds me of Schulze's Crystal Lake.
Absolutely !!! MIRAGE album
Another great music and post! Thank you for sharing it!
This is an EPIC track by them.

Give Mark Shreeve a big modular and watch him extract some analogue gold. He understands BASS in sequencing. There aren't many like him.
Yes he sure does, love to watch him play on his sequencers, he is having such a great time!!
Great sound sir! Like TD at 06:24. Great and terrific sound and picture.
Not TD but KS on MIRAGE album
That's War of the Worlds (2005)
MAGNIFICA......MAGNIFICENT!!!

Richard, "for the love of nature" is crying out for one of your video treatments. :-)
Good suggestion Duncan. I will see what I can do ;-)
War of the Worlds...Redshift style.
hi
Do rather like this...
GREAT but indeed this been already done by KS and TD...
that's like dismissing sonic youth by saying guitars bass & drums has already been done by the beatles. cloth-ears.
@@duncan-rmi lol
stolen from TD
Rather inspired...by TD and also Klaus Schulze for this one
+markusmala I agree there are traits of mirage in there
REDSHIFT has common routs, but goes further than Berlinschool. check CDs 2004 nd younger
Peter Kiechle not stolen but influenced
También de Klaus Schulze
Cudowna muzyka!!!!
