You can also use clear packing tape to hold the stamp on your project on a curve. The tape extends on either side of the back of the stamp and acts as adhesive handles. The stamp then sticks to the project while you press down on the stamp to transfer the ink.
These crocks do exist. When I bought my grandfathers homestead, we found a crock in the root cellar, among many more interesting vintage items. I really had no idea what it was used for, but it had to be used for some kind of food storage. It has no markings on it though. Would be nice if it would've had a lid or something. We are still finding things around the homestead. Every time we dig a hole somewhere we find a horse bit, or some equipment grandpa used for his tractor or farm implement Frustrating thing is trying to find out what some of these things were used for back then. I wish I could ask my grandpa about it...lol.
I love gilding! There are so many colours in the gilding sheets. I have done some that look like oil spills in water. If you want all the little lines to disappear after you brush off the gild, take a soft piece of cloth and buff it all away!
Love the English/French crocks, I am always searching for them in The Wild, but this idea is genius! Who knew cinnamon was a multi-tasker! 😂😂 Bravo 👏❤️👏❤️👏❤️👏❤️👏
Oh Sarah... I am so happy to see you use IOD products 😁 I was a stockist for quite a while, but decided to no longer have a vintage booth while going through treatment. Without my own Brick and Mortar or a vendor booth of some sorts (a physical location), I had to give up being a stockist, but I still use all of their products pretty much daily‼️ Once treatment is over, I plan to go back to carrying IOD. They are literally top notch products and give beautiful results 😍 It warms my heart to see you using the Crockery Stamp ❣️❤
Lovely ideas! My favorite was adding gold to the large galvanized bucket. It really took it up a notch! I look at all containers as potential garden pots. 😉❤️🪴
Neat ideas. I just did over a glass vessel in the aged concrete look and I dusted it with cocoa. And who doesn’t like the smell of chocolate Thanks for the ideas.
Good morning from the Uk 🇬🇧 hope you are well. I’m new to your channel and this video got me hooked. Inspirational ideas I’m now currently binge watching your previous videos. Thank you for brightening my day. Xxx
I loved them all, but if I had to choose just one, I would pick the rubber stamps. You are such an inspiration to us. Thank you for sharing your talents.
Sarah you must love spring as you are glowing while sharing these beautiful ideas! The stamps remind me of transferware! Love all the glam details too!
When stamping on a curved surface, Toni's tip is great. I take a small towel fold in half. Lay the item in the center and then roll the ends on either side toward the item. It should now be "cradled". Before inking the stamp, place a good length of painter's tape across the center of the stamp on the smooth side. Turn it over, ink it up. Use the tape like handles on each side to lower the stamp onto the surface. Your fingers should be holding the tape on each side pretty close to the stamp, for control. Once it;s down, hold down with one hand and press the stamp onto the surface. You can switch hands, one at a time, so that all of the inked surface of the stamp makes contact with the item.
I absolutely love all of these, the gilded can is so pretty but my favorite is the stamping!! They all turned out so cute. Thanks for sharing these great ideas
Oh Sarah it’s hard to choose a favorite! All are so pretty and perfect for Spring decor! Thanks for sharing all these great DIY projects! Blessings!💛🌿Cindy
I truly love all six projects but I'm most excited over the urn and how perfect it turned out using such a simple method. That's the look I've been wanting to achieve on a couple of my own urns for quite a while but wasn't quite sure how, and you really nailed it, so thank you! I also have those same stamps and absolutely love them! As always, thank you so much for sharing your creative talents with us...I'm always inspired!!💗
I love the antique crock ideas. The stamps are tricky so I'm still practicing before I use them on my projects. I just don't want them sliding and messing up.
I am so eager for spring!!! I love your garden inspired projects! So pretty! New skills to try ... I''ve never gilded or cinnamoned anything - something to try!
Sitting outside and relaxing while I listen/watch.🤍☕️ I have some European little crocks. I Love them.🤍 My favorite was the little crocks you made. They look so pretty, Sarah.👏🏻✨
Hi, Sarah! Enjoyed this video, makes me look forward to spring! The cinnamon trick looked just like rust (very French flea market), and the faux marmalade jars were lovely! Thanks for the inspiring video. 🌹
I’ve had really good luck using the tissue off napkins. Peel them apart so you have one ply. Stamp your image on it and then decoupage onto your crock. The tissue “disappears”. That way, if the image isn’t perfect, just use another tissue!
I love them alll!! It’s like picking a favorite child, can’t do it!!! I have the iod farmhouse animal stamps and I’m looking forward to using them for spring (sheep and bunny)
Hi Sarah! I actually have some of these old crocks! Specifically the Dundee Marmalade! They are not actually white at all. They are more of a cream. Also I have seen several of the potted meat in all different brands and sizes in person and they are not a true white either. They are SO expensive for their size but so beautiful!
As soon you showed the antique crocks at the beginning of the video I was hoping you had discovered the IOD stamps -- I am a huge IOD fan so much that your blouse/dress reminds me of one of my favorite transfers of theirs it's called Wander -- such beautiful florals like the ones on your top! I love this video! Such beautiful projects! I have an urn like the one you showed and I love that rusty look with cinnamon! I'm going to try it. I'm also a Fusion fan.
I love all of the projects, I wasn't as crazy about the watering can. I think was bc I live that galvanized look. In the right spot might like it. Still I enjoyed the transformation for them all.
You made me finally invest in a set of the stamps! I have been wanting them for so long! Now the question is how many are too many? I see myself stamping everything!!
You should go to Julie's Designs and Signs.. She does amazing things and is into the same kind of things you're into.. Check out her video on IODing.. She is cute and sweet and I know you'll love her and the things she does.. Your things turned out great!! ❤️🤗😘
Putting a piece of packing tape on the back of the stamp making sure the tape extends far enough out on either side of your stamp, then laying it down on your surface, really helps to hold your stamp in place on a rounded surface! And like Sarah said, it helps that they're flexible. I think it also helps that these are nice and small as well.😉
That's why you're my very favorite. You do things that we can do that don't cost tons of money. Thank you.
The cinnamon piece was most inspiring for me. . I also plan to do some guilding but just a band around a bucket.
The rusted urn was ingenious! Well done Sarah!
All of them are inspiring but the crocks are my FAVORITE!😍
You can also use clear packing tape to hold the stamp on your project on a curve. The tape extends on either side of the back of the stamp and acts as adhesive handles. The stamp then sticks to the project while you press down on the stamp to transfer the ink.
Toni, that is such a great idea! Happy weekend!
Great tip, thank you!
Why not just lay the stamp down ink side up and roll the jar over it.
Love the Gold watering can.
I used coco on a pitcher. I set it on a low shelf. I quickly caught my sweet little long haired chihuahua licking it off. Yum a snack.
Oh no! That's a good word of warning!
😂😂😂
Love how everything turned out, lil crocks my favorite 🤗💕
Great spring decorating ideas.

The rust urn is my favorite. I do my crockery container like you you did. Love it. God’s blessings.
The crocks! I have so many candle jars I've cleaned out I'm gonna try this with
Each project turned out great. I love the way you staged them as well.

Hi Sarah! Well they are all terrific, but I love how the crocks turned out! All of them together made the perfect Spring vignette!

I love the antique crock ideas. The stamps are tricky so I'm still practicing before I use them on my projects. I just don't want them sliding and messing up.

All are beautiful. Would enjoy more in depth info about the gilding process. The watering can is a standout!
This was a fun video! Loved all your projects but using the cinnamon to make that urn look rusty was brilliant!!! Can’t wait to do this! ❤️
Hi, Sarah! Enjoyed this video, makes me look forward to spring! The cinnamon trick looked just like rust (very French flea market), and the faux marmalade jars were lovely! Thanks for the inspiring video. 🌹
♥️
Cinnamon!!! Who knew??! I'm in. Thank you for such great ideas♡♡♡
I heard that 'galvanized' was a trend on the way out.... I hope not! I still like it!
Such an amazing video, Sarah‼️ Your projects turned out so beautiful 😍 Thank you for sharing with us ❣️❤
I love the cinnamon "rust." Must try.

Ooh, that's a neat trick, Paula! Thank you!
Could you do a few videos of cottage core/vintage farmhouse?
I love these projects so much! Perfect for spring!🌺🌺
I love them alll!! It’s like picking a favorite child, can’t do it!!! I have the iod farmhouse animal stamps and I’m looking forward to using them for spring (sheep and bunny)
Me too! I plan on making a couple things with mine today!!😊
👍

They are whatever color ink you use…
@@thecrummycrafter5625 I’m speaking of authentic antiques. That’s what I have.

Great minds think alike! :)
Can all them be my favorite? 😍
Absolutely, Joy! :)
The jars were my favorite. I would love to do that but I just don’t have the patience.
You did a wonderful job and urn How cool
Hi 👋 Delia how are you doing?
Hope you don’t mind if I subscribe to your channel
Ginger Chick uses lots of IOD stamps but seems to do a layer before and after to protect the ink design.
I love all of the projects, I wasn't as crazy about the watering can. I think was bc I live that galvanized look. In the right spot might like it. Still I enjoyed the transformation for them all.
Thank you! 😊
She,Super,hw amazing shots-👽
You made me finally invest in a set of the stamps! I have been wanting them for so long! Now the question is how many are too many? I see myself stamping everything!!
It really is tempting to go on a stamping spree! I absolutely love mine!!
@@luv2cre84 how much is too much? 😂
You should go to Julie's Designs and Signs.. She does amazing things and is into the same kind of things you're into.. Check out her video on IODing.. She is cute and sweet and I know you'll love her and the things she does.. Your things turned out great!! ❤️🤗😘
How did you seal the containers after you put the stamping on them?
Enquiring minds want to know.
I'm not sure if Sarah sealed them afterwards, but I do know that the IOD ink is permanent once applied and dry!
The crocks were my favorite. The stamps are hard to do on round surfaces. Good job.
It helps that they're flexible!!
