Man growing up in rodeo and going to pro rodeos when my dad roped calves I know what you are talking about hearing these stories
Great podcast, I wasn't sure how the slack worked before I heard this podcast. Also, I wasn't aware of "turnout" and trading for entries. Thanks.
Glad you enjoyed!
Really enjoy listening to you guys, but it helps i guess that im a fan of Ty lol
Thanks for listening!
Good podcast. I have 2 things, one comment, one question. Around the 20:00 mark you were talking about the timer and how precise that person is. I have to disagree. Now when I’m sitting in the stands I don’t look at the clock of course because your focused on the action but on TV you can see the clock and after the cowboy throws up his hands that clock will continue to run from about .2 to .5 seconds. It varies within the same perf like the timer is doing it on purpose. I’m sitting there thinking the timer is helping some guys and hurting others. A guy throws his hands at 7 seconds and the clock runs to 7.5.
The question I have is about the extra rope looped in the belt and attached to the bridle. What is that for? Pulls out of the belt when you dismount to tie the calf but doesn’t seem like it does anything.
Thank you so much for the feedback you’re awesome! We will hit on both of these topics next time we have a rodeo 101 podcast!

Sooo true!!
thank you, I just started watching rodeo events and I didn't understand how they qualified for NFR. I might have missed it, can you do more than 80 events and use your best 80 events for qualifying?
You can go to more rodeos, but you designate the ones you are going to count towards the standings before you compete
🔥
You left out the hat rule that typically relates specifically to said ‘Buckle Bunnies’, usually after a rodeo at a bar or after party. 🤔 y’all leave that one out on purpose for the younger audience? 😂👍🏻 If so, probably a good call. Any newbies wanna know what I’m talking about, maybe shoot the guys a dm instead of a comment. 👀 I wonder if Google has that answer actually… someone ask Siri. 😂
