Terry and June (1979-1987). Full cast!!! Past and present, Young and old. Terry and June was a British television sitcom that was broadcast on BBC1 from 1979 to 1987. Re-working of the sitcom Happy Ever After. The show spawned 65 episodes over 9 series including 4 Christmas Specials. Classic comedy at its best!!!

Great video. Must admit Terry & June was one of those comedies I never really warmed up to. Therefore rarely watched it.

I grew up with this sitcom, it was on the telly. Couldn't recall any of the storylines though. There must have been one involving inviting Terry's boss to dinner, where things went awry and hilarity ensued. 🤔😁
Sad to learn that 'Oxo dad' Michael Redfern has passed away earlier this year. 🙁
Interesting to learn that Jonathan Woss even landed a bit part in this. 😃

Love Terry and June, especially the Christmas episodes, my fave episode is when they think they have won on their premium bonds, and everyone wants a handout, feel good TV.

Bit of a forerunner to One Foot In The Grave, they just took the idea & turned everything up to 11 😂
It's much cosier, a sign of the times & time it was broadcast but some of the episodes are very good. It's a send up of the middle classes, a point that seems to have been missed by some.

@Robin Cattani Thanks Robin, really appreciated. I will hopefully get around to making a 2023 version of Only Fools sometime in the coming months. I did a full cast for Only Fools back in 2019 that has since been deleted.
Strangely enough, even as a keen fan of british comedy Terry And June seemed to pass me by. I can remember it being on and watching it but I can't recall any episodes or stories. My loss of course. It's not like Steptoe or Dads Army where you can recall whole episodes and quote pages of script. The fact that for some reason this most unoffensive of comedies is never repeated is probably why.
Anything with Dame June has got to be quality, she never did rubbish.
Terry Scott is one of our local heroes but lots of his co-stars especially women claimed he wasn't a nice person to know. He does have a blue plaque in his memory on his childhood home in Watford Fields.
I might look T+J up online and might just be surprised by a show I let wash over me.🤔
Same here. Like ‘As Time Goes by’ it was a comedy I never warmed up to and therefore never watched more than a few episodes
@@xr6lad Agreed. These days they are looked down upon and seen as "too suburban and smugly middle class" and without that "edginess" that makes for a classic comedy. I didn't get The Good Life, Butterflies, To The Manor Born and a dozen other comedies like Never The Twain and Home To Roost.
Now Sykes? That was "middle class" but slightly anarchic with bonkers storylines.
It worked for me.
@@fus149hammer5 I think you’ve hit it on the head. Loved One the buses, Dads Army, Are you being served, Porridge, open all hours etc. Think those comedies with usually 2 middle class middle aged couples just didn’t appeal to me (I mean I’m only middle aged myself now so was younger then).
@Fus149 Hammer Like yourself, it was a show i never caught much of back in the day, purely because i liked watching other shows and didn't fit it in to my watching schedule but having gone through T&J recently i can state that most of the episodes are bland and unimaginative with about 10 to 15 stand-out episodes that are worth watching including the 4 Christmas specials, each to there own though.
