I hold too much stress on my body. I can literally be extremely well rested and all of my muscles hurts because I think too much. I love weight lifting but I'm always injured bc of that. Yoga is a life safer, doing the transitions and learning the poses makes me feel like I'm dancing with myself!

I’m actually still going strong daily and haven’t paid once to do it in a studio. Haha but I have led others in a group, And been led by someone for free in person. So I get it.

Sending love from Sacramento CA!! I felt it when you spoke about community being taken away. I didn't fully realize how my yoga practice was 80% community based. Take that out and I had to learn how to get comfortable on my mat in solitude, self-partnering. Yoga didn't/doesn't feel the same at home alone, because it isn't. Connecting with my community is the heart of my practice. What the pandemic did do, was open me up to sooooo much gratitude for my community. When something is taken from you or you no longer have access to it, as it circles back into your sphere, that humbled gratitude is an emotion to be handled with care and gentleness all on its own.

I had the same situation. Not much for yoga classes. But i may change that. Had a regular practice on my own. Never any back trouble during that time. Got away from yoga, just got more into running and doing half assed stretches. Back pain has been with me lately. So i decided on getting back to yoga. Its takes alot of discipline but its worth it in the long run.

Awesome video. I started doing yoga on and off with the apple fitness plus subscription and it helped a lot with my back pain too. This video gives me new motivation to get back into it everyday. I wish I could go to a class with people but my social anxiety is too high right now.
practicing yoga is practicing yoga! doesn't matter where you do it - I just prefer the social pressure of showing up to a yoga studio. Take 1 yoga class this week!

I did daily yoga for years until I somehow hurt my back in 2/2020. Then, in 1/2021 I badly broke my right foot and chipped my ankle. I have been doing yoga again for the past few days and it is upsetting how stiff and weak I've gotten. I had gotten a lot of muscle and flexibility doing yoga from 4/2014 - 2/2020 but lost all of it. I've returned to yoga not only for physical appearance improvement, but also to help some back and neck/head pain AND deal with emotional issues. Years ago I'd been having severe panic attacks that yoga totally fixed.
How are you doing now?

THANK YOU! I typically take a yoga class so I do whatever is in the class. I'll do less physical intense postures & focus on the muscle lengthening postures more
I practice yoga since five years, but I'm still not flexible and can't touch my toes without a lot of stretch practice before
