When Romeo said "but you got rid of them all" I feel like he's proud of Carlo His voice doesn't sound angry or upset. Even more noticable whwn he say's "you're still an unstoppable fellow"
I love how Romeo seemed like he felt he was proud when he talked about how Carlo killed all his messengers. He wasn't mad, or disappointed. He was all like "Dude, you're still a badass! That's awesome!" Even though he knew the magnitude of the danger in not getting Carlo's help. Romeo truly was a good friend, until the end. What an incredible game, and incredible story.
Playing through the game a 2nd time, I understood why the puppet king was sad when you slapped his hand away, and that the cutscene on the stage was a warning about what might happen in the bad ending. Romeo was doing what he could to look out for Carlo. but he doesn't remember anything. That hurts.
I just finished listening to this right now in game, and I just cried and can't fucking sleep. I wish we had the option to skip his boss fight instead... My heart breaks.
This was the reason I made the puppet ripper my main. Also, despite Carlo turning his back on Romeo, he understands and still remains true. As if he understands the language barrier and confusion.
You know what? I held on to Romeo's scythe for some strange reason. I felt some strange kinship with him, like the puppets were misunderstood in all this. I could never understand why. I held on to the weapon in hopes of shoving it through Krat's demise architects' rotten heart. And only THEN I found this... I still didn't get it, but when I ascended the Black Coast, the choir started in the background... I got hit with it all with the strength of a freight train. I will avenge you all right.
This was the reason I made the puppet ripper my main. Also, despite Pinocchio turning his back on Romeo, he understands and still remains true. As if he understands the language barrier and confusion.
Unfortunately it's not actually Romeo's scythe. It looks different, and if you read the description you realize it's actually the weapon of the puppet serial killer who murdered Venigni's parents, among others. Which is why it's named "Puppet Ripper".
@@justinlee790 yea when I first played, I didn’t read the description and thought it was called Puppet Ripper because it was an effective weapon against puppets
My friend got this last night (I'm still behind him) and the way I screamed "Noooo" That and the memories you see after you go to the Isle of Alchemists. Romeo cherished Carlo so much. I wish I could have an option not to fight Romeo. It breaks my heart (and P/Carlo's) to fight and kill his best friend, evidenced that Sophia pointed out he looked upset. Once I beat him, I'm never letting go of that scythe
is even worse: Romeo was dying cause of the petrification disease and had a "pact" with Gepetto to be rebuilt in a puppet. the thing is that Romeo never imagined that Gepetto would be THAT disgusting to make him the King of Puppets.
I really wish there was some kind of pacifist mode, at least with puppets. Like if you dont kill them at the beginning they would just ignore you including the puppet bosses too. So the only enemies would be the carcasses.
They really should and I'm sad you can only spare 4 bosses and all of them are stalkers. I would have been so pissed if I was forced to kill claudia (red fox stalker) and the black cat stalker.
Romeo was going to die to the petrification disease. He’s a hero at heart, so in order to stay alive and continue saving people he had Gepetto make him a puppet since puppets are immune to the disease.
Maybe in the recording he was still human that’s why u can understand him but when your boss fighting him you can’t understand him cause he’s a puppet and not human anymore
@@John_doe627 actually not. he was a puppet already but he sent the message via the radiowaves of ergo, the thing is that Romeo and some other puppets had their Ego awakened but still couldn't resist to the Great Covenant (since Gepetto put the Zero Law to make him the true commander/master of the puppets). So Romeo tried to warn P/Carlo about was happening.
I was able to get it after the Black Rabbit Brotherhood fight at the Relic of Trismegistus. I spoke to Venigni and he had a message regarding who started the puppet frenzy and then he gave me this message from Romeo. I'd check with Venigni often.
I killed the rabbit Brotherhood in chapter 10, But the message doesn't appear, and if I talk to Venigni he doesn't tell me anything... What do I do? Are there any requirements that need to be met first? I'm currently in chapter 11 and have killed the Door Guardian...If anyone could help me I would be grateful pls
You have to follow very specific steps, since this is missable, you had to have traveled to hotel Krat after defeating the Black Rabbit Brotherhood (second encounter), and talked to Venigni, after the conversation, he hands you that message. But if you missed it, I'm sorry to tell you the only way of obtaining it is in NG+

I felt like such an asshole. But im confused. If romeo is the king of puppets, made by geppetto, and bound by the covenant then he is party of the frenzy. He and his puppets killed innocent people. How is he able to work against geppeto later on?

"It's gonna be okay, as long as I'm at your side, Carlo." is one of his dialogue options TT

As Romeo says “I’m Romeo Carlo’s best friend” the Violin solo kicked in and tears where flowing down my face.

You don’t know Pinocchios story? Carlos best friend has been Romeo since it was written tho he’s typically referred to as lampy or lampwick/candlewick

i don’t understand why Romeo is a puppet, if first he was a human, why Geppetto turns him into a puppet?
Romeo was going to die to the petrification disease. He’s a hero at heart, so in order to stay alive and continue saving people he had Gepetto make him a puppet since puppets are immune to the disease.
I feel like since Geppeto wanted to give Carlo a perfect life, he recreated his dead best friend as a puppet
