I just discovered your videos yesterday and I have been fascinated by how your mind works. I have none of your attributes for using the uniques processes required to tackle those damned things! After thinking about your patience, endurance (carpal tunnel??!) and "lateral thinking" I have concluded that you and others who are challenged by these puzzles and not inclined to use them for breaking windows, etc.would be extremely valuable on adventures like missions to establish settlements on other planets. Chris you rock! Your vids are spectacular! I found one of your vids on a random recommendation, and so glad I clicked! The amalgamation of your boundless patience, ingenuity, and experience creates in me a new and unique sense of exploration of this amazing life. Thank you so much!!!
So at the end of all this fumbling around, do you have any clue what you actually did to open this thing? It looks like every single move was just a pure accident.
He had to find the right combination to slide the hollow compartments open, then find the correct path with the pegs to turn the knob enough to create the keyhole which then allowed him to attempt to find the right combination for the sliding plates which then, when slid in the correct order, freed the actual lock. I found it to be pretty obvious.

@bayj0nes Do you know that for sure? Because I came to the comments because I thought that it didn't look like the intended way when he basically strong armed that one side slightly out of the way to allow the other side to move. Surely the maker couldn't have intended that you need to use excessive force with the help of the key and people who aren't as strong just can't complete it, I mean the mail he mentioned just read that you shouldn't be afraid to use some force but I would never take that as "give it everything you got and use other stuff to help other than your hands" to move something that isn't really suggesting that it's willing to move yet.

I feel like a lot of these puzzles are solved by accident. You just fiddle around with it until something happens. I feel like it kind of defeats the overall purpose of the ‘puzzle’.
