A jackal is when the first player on his feet at the ruck is allowed to take the ball from the tackled player on the ground. As long as he releases the tackled player and goes straight for the ball, no hands on the ground. Great video, I really enjoy your fresh analysis of my favourite sport. C'mon Scotland.
Also important to add only the first player to the ruck can jackal. You'll potentially have players that come in as the second man at the ruck and get penalised.
The 'brother' is Christ Tshiunza, he plays as a lock or flanker for Exeter Chiefs in the English Premiership and Wales. He was born on the 9th January 2002 in Kinshasa, Democratic Republic of the Congo, to a French family, he moved to Wales in 2010.
I hope Scotland can keep this up and upset Ireland would be good to have more curve balls before the rugby World Cup. The top 7 teams all have a good shot rugby is more even and tight than it ever has been
The jackler is the first arriving team member of the tackler at the tackle, or the first person to get to an isolated ball carrier who is on the ground. The defender who gets over the ball carrier before a ruck is formed.
"theres a borther on wales" only we refer to all players as Welshmen or Scotsman or Irish men or English. The uk is much more mixed than most americans realise, We do have problems but its very much more of a mixed sociaty than I hear the USA is, anyone who gets on that field deseves RESPECT!!
Scotland play a wide running game, which makes watching them exciting. Finn, the Hogwarts dark arts teacher, Russell will dictate how the Scots will play and the guys around him read his mind. That makes it difficult for opponents. Still laughing with the nobody liked basketball till the Brothers started playing ... class mate 🤣. Good videos keep it up
Off Topic: Huw Jones isn't from SA, but he learned his rugby in SA and played his first Pro rugby for WP/Stormers in Cape Town (he went to university in SA). The running joke is that Scotland is called South Africa B. ps. It's funny to me that both Scotland wingers are from SA.
Yeah. Big Duhey qualifies on residency. Steyn's mum's from Glasgow. Apparently his dad used to be some sort of diplomat and when Kyle was a kid they would occasionally have Nelson Mandela round at the house.
@@abrahamtomahawk Connections in high places, eh! And another connection you might be interested in is the city of Glasgow was the first city in the world outside of South Africa to show support for Mandela's fight against Apartheid. The Thatcher Government in London labelled him a terrorist, but the people of Glasgow always embraced the cause of Freedom. And now there is a Mandela Square in the middle of Glasgow. Check out Hamish Henderson's great song, Freedom Come All Ye on UA-cam!
As a black man, you are 100% right about the feeling seeing a new brother playing hahahahahaha When we get more brothers playing the game might change up a bit loooool
Jackal: Player is tackled and the first defender in stays on his feet and gets his hands on the ball either to win it or to stop the attacking team gets it. The jackal can't put his hands on the ground. Big West Indian population in and around Cardiff.
Actually it was more about conceding penalties that screwed us look back and see most games we lost was about 2 or 3 points difference and high penalty count against us. We could always attack but now we have a good defence and much better discipline.
US Brother's play football because it's got pad's and helmets, real Brother's play rugby because it is real 😂 I jest. We're all Brother's and Sister's, even the gingers.
Anyone else notice Dan Biggar shaking his head when Turner scored, implying that the ball had not been grounded? He was right there and couldn't have missed it! This is not the behaviour expected from rugby players!
There isn't many black people in the European teams but the southern hemisphere teams have a lot of variety. We have south Africa of course who has a very mixed team, all backs and australia also have quite a bit of variety (not as much as sa bit still way more than the European teams). The Namibian team I'm pretty sure has only black players but I don't really follow them much because I literally never see matches with them on tv
It's a fair opinion that Rugby would benefit from more "brothers" representing the sport, however, Rugby is most definitely watched. There is no competition on Earth with more viewers (per capita) than the Six Nations. Murrayfield could have double the capacity easily. The largest football crowd ever to attend a (soccer) match was in Scotland. 149,500 or so. Scotland still has the largest (per capita) crowds turning out for football every week. Rugby could get those numbers too, had it not been for the Union/League split.
It’s a shame that Scottish football is as bad as it is right now, especially with those numbers in attendance. The dominance of Celtic and rangers makes out league dreadful. Especially with the SPFL not allowing any new investment
Oh and on corn rows. I am from Dublin and more white people have corn rows than black people. There were Vikings and Celts wearing corn rows way before a black man set foot in America.
Who? Picts predate both in these islands. Pict was the derogatory term given to Scots by the Romans. (Painted people) Archeology has found numerous "beauty" products from the Iron age that suggests the Picts would braid their hair. 10,000 years before Jesus. Combs etc can be seen in Scotland's museums.
@@Mark-Haddow Earliest known example of "corn rolls" or braided hair is found in a wooden doll found in Austria that is 30,000 years old. It's known as the Venus of Willendorf
@@jonsouth1545 Great. I wasn't implying Scotland, Alba, Scotia or whatever was the origin. I was adding a fact that it predates the Celts, then the Vikings reaching the British Isles, Shetland Islands and Orkney Islands. The other two archipelagos Scotland is found upon. I would imagine somewhere in Africa it goes further back than 30,000 years.
Wales problem is under Gatland they abandoned their natural flair instincts. Yes he brought plenty success. But Wales have been boring to watch last 15 years or so, as a neutral
The game has changed from those days for sure, you need more flair and creativity now, which Scotland has in bundles. I would say Italy will beat Wales this year.

Best Scotland team for many a year , interesting to see how they go against Ireland and France.

Scotland, New Zealand, Australia and France have been the most exciting teams over the past 10 years.

Loving your views on the 6 nations, being from scotland i'm in a good mood for now but the French game might be our hardest instead of Ireland
I'll get excited after they beat Ireland or France away
I think Scotland have been trying to develop this style under Gregor Townsend but this season it is coming on a consistent basis

Sean, great to have the rugby vids back bro…love your craic
Yes it was an electric exciting start and game from Scotland, Wales are undergoing a reshuffle so not their best but they will be back stronger
lets gooooo sean, been watching a while so fkn cool to see u get closer to 100k
