One important note: THE VOCALIZATION DOES NOT HAVE TO BE THE SAME NOTE. Zekka, Colaps, and Remix, for example (and even SXIN in a lot of his examples), all do their vocalized note a 5th above the chest bass (an octave and a 5th if you want to get very technical). It's a lot harder for me to tell with Bass Ventura because he is just so absurdly good.
Another important little tip, if you're trying to get a more distinct tone with your vocalized chest bass, you should try to push for more volume in your chest note, and less volume in your vocalization. The physics behind it are a little complicated to explain, but very basically, you're using overtones to amplify the volume, and the louder the vocalized note, the less it amplifies the overtones and the more it just comes through as an actual note. ZVD, for example, commonly uses a style of vocalized chest bass that leans into the top note more, creating more of a chord than just a bass note (think power chords on guitar like in rock music, fundamentally the same notes).
This is a sound that I have become extremely interested in and in developing, as well as spreading a more correct idea of what it actually is, because even a lot of beatboxers who use this sound don't actually understand what exactly is going on with vocalized chest bass. I really would like to have a conversation with Bass Ventura to figure out exactly what he's doing and see if it's the same and he's just that good, or if it's fundamentally different and that's what achieves that absolutely immaculate tone.
Hope this was helpful to some people, if anyone has any questions, or thinks I'm a huge idiot who should shut his mouth, please let me know and I'll do my best to respond 😎
EDIT: Mazefrog has an excellent tutorial as well on the sound, as well as a lot of others, highly recommend checking that out

Yeee ZVD do the exact note to an other level of difficulty for vocalize but the texture when Remix, Bass ventura or Osis do throat bass at the same time is naaasty

@@cryptogold22 Taddl is vibration bass, he already has a video reacting to vibration bass gods and says that Taddl probably has his favorite. Also vocal bass is different than vocalized chest bass, think PWAD for vocal bass

Great vid man! When i first got into beatboxing, Bass ventura was one of the first beatboxers i actively watched. His bass fascinated me and i think i’m finally getting the hang of it. My issue is that i struggle to add drums and feel like the bass cuts whenever i do a kick or snare sound. Does anyone have any advice on how i can improve?

Do the throat bass and while doing it push the mid of your tongue to the roof of your mouth. Locking your teeth with change the texture.
Do let me know if it works out
