How to Enable Developer Mode on Xiaomi MIUI Devices

Android has a lot of hidden features tucked away in a menu called Developer Options, so you should follow this tutorial and learn how to enable it on MIUI.

For those who are wondering how to do it in MIUI 10, the developer options is located in the same place (under additional settings), but the activation part (tapping the MIUI version) is located under settings > about phone > [MIUI Version].

the steps should be identical from version to version, but I haven't used MIUI 12.5 yet so I can't say for sure

What I'd like to know is how to exit developer mode. I already evidentially discovered how to enter developer mode. I tried "tapping out". IE tapping out the way I got in, but that didn't work. Do you know how to exit developer mode. How I accidentally discovered it was that I just got the idea to tap the MIUI version like there Android version and see what happens ! And lo and behold I was entering developer mode. Like wth ! How to exit is now the questions I need the answer to. Thanks in advance for any help you can give ! ☺️
