It's basically peyote stitch. Just look up peyote stitch edging on UA-cam or Google and you'll find something you like.

I have a bit larger bulb , I think it would need 42 beads is that ok ,will it still work ?
Yes. Every 6 th bead it will give you 7 loops for the next row.
i started one and i got 24 for the top do i still go through every 4th bead or what number should i go with

I have 40 beads on the top of my bulb. What numbers am i using to count where i put the needle in?
Go in every 4th bead. That will give u 10 loops.
Emery 5 will give you 8 loops.
