Its with great pleasure that I have participated in this nice project with all these excellent musicians, Thank you my friend for the invitation and see you for the next collaboration!!!!
Well maybe I'll release a producer edition again where you can actually remix the songs. I did that for my last 2 EPs and it was fun. But yeah the thing is the main songs have so many elements sometimes it doesn't always hit the perfect spot for everyone.
@@HKKetoRecipes I thinks it is also a general problem with all metal that features lots of orchestration and added sounds/textures. So many choir/strings/synths playing in the background that you can't focus on the real deal parts (guitars). Bands like Equipoise, Inferi, Symbolik suffer from this problem as well (in my opinion)
The best bass player in the world for the past few years.. Such great tone and bass lines! Still so happy I got to meet you and the guys from First Fragment when you came to Saskatoon, it made my year! :)
I got to see/meet him with Augury back in like 2010 or so in Las Vegas opening for God Dethoned. Very cool getting to bs and pass around some herb with him and a bunch of other folks. KILLER BASSIST!!!
@@dragolath62 First Fragment did tour around Canada end of 2022 and Saskatoon was one of the spots they played! It was a small venue and I was literally standing in the front like barely 2 feet from him lol
Damn near every time I see Forest doing another playthrough I just laugh at the absurdity. Probably the best technical player out there. At least the best Ideas. Musically, anyway...
Definitely one of the sickest bassists out there when it comes to fretless. All this chaotic music going on and you are so calm haha. That's true musicianship right there 🤘
you're probably the best metal bassist I've ever witnessed, your work in Beyond Creation is stellar! You're one of the main reasons (others simply being Obscura) that I, as a guitarist, picked up bass more seriously, with the intent to go fretless at some point in the future ^^
Mad props to one of the ONLY musicians that continuously astounds me with his level of mastery of both tone and inflection. Still hoping for that new Beyond Creation album, but honestly, I'm down for whatever this guy wants to write.
@@jacobcousins4234 Yeah, he's not, but he does bass for a lot of metal bands where they need a bassist, like in First Fragment and Teramobil, so it could potentially happen (hopefully).
Im but a humble servant to music. You are beyond an exceptional musician and you need more eyes on you. I cannot believe you havent been exposed more over the years, and the proof is I cant find Forest covers.
Dominic is a great player, but it's presumptuous to say he's the best in the world. As a bassist myself, I've learned there are a multitude of ways to be great in regard to the instrument. There are so many styles and techniques, and players that bring their own personal flair and experience to the instrument. For example, I recently I discovered Charles Berthoud here on YT who can seemingly do it all, but even he, as great as he is, lacks certain qualities that others possess. When it comes to music (and player) appreciation, it's best to cast a wide net; there's lots of talent out there to be discovered and enjoyed.
As far as metal is concerned, Forest is probably the most advanced player around. Nobody I've ever heard in metal can play with this level of technical perfection.
Not so strangely, I had a similar experience when I first saw Guthrie Goven play Fives on UA-cam. :) This sounds like a version of that song that has been to Hades and made it back to tell the story. Such amazing tone and technique. Not easy to create and play something both this heavy and this beautiful. Thanks so much. Best wishes.
Dominic, Your Bass playing is musical crack/cocaine to me. I have to save it for special occasions. For I will get addicted to it if I listen to it too often, and it will spoil the specialness of it if i hear it all the time. ❤
Thank you for being a part of the album. It was a huge honour and your bass playing is just SUBLIME!! Love it!!

@Forest Bassist you're without a doubt, my favorite bass player. Hands down 🤘❤️🔥
Greatly looking forward to this album! All your bands are amazing, dude! ❤️🔥🤘
@@Yoshoggutha thank you!
I can't hear Forest in the original mix...shame as the song is amazing.
I wish it was this loud in the original mix!

agree
I think this was the sound Vivaldi was trying to achieve. This is mind blowing! Killer playing sir!

okay wait, when did he come to saskatoon? This province lives under a rock, would have been a true and amazing experience! Tell him to come back.

Smoked some herb with this guy before he played for First Fragment. They were fucking flawless.

So much going on here, amazing. Forest never disappoints. The early artificial harmonic-slide motif was superb
Anything this man does, is simply magic.. 🤘
I was truly hoping Dominic would do a playthrough of this! Love this song and am really glad he got involved with such a great band. 🤘❤️🔥
You are too kind, was honoured he agreed to play on my project.
Доминик-один из любимейших басистов,которого всегда интересно не только слушать,но и смотреть.
Man the accuracy and smoothness of his playing is hella next level
I love his playing . The man is straight up incredible.
Tone is nuts. Presence is immaculate. Technically sound, pretty much genius level playing. Insane.

I ordered the Vinyl for that. Awaiting the digital release on march 31st. Thanks Dominic. You are a beast.
This is AmazeBASS! Sublime techniques as always!
One of the greatest, on par with Steve DiGeorgio and Sean Malone (RIP), IMHO.
Every time I watch your bass play-throughs, I think the same thing: this is what Jaco would have sounded like if he played death metal.
this is brutal!
フレットレスのうねるサウンドが目茶苦茶心地好い。
She sounds absolutely fantastic. Congratulations on your first recording. You never fail to leave me awestruck 🤘
If you asked Chat GPT to write an epic metal riff. Its response would be to just listen to this Lord of the Bass

Absolutely inspirational stuff ! Amazing !
Killing it as always ❤ come back to Windsor Ontario I'd love to see you play again some day .
Vraiment divin à voir !!! Quelle technique et musicalité, et quelle basse magnifique en plus !
Always a banger when Dominic is on bass! Your playing is inspiring af🔥

The Master.
One day I would like to play fretless bass like you, excellent work, you have my admiration 👍
Tremendo, saludos desde Argentina 🇦🇷 🤟
Utmost respect and admiration here. Definitely subbed
great art
is that the 7th harmonic during the B string 8th note phrases starting at 1:18? sounds like part of the bass mix, but whatever it is I like it
I'm lefty who's interested in fretless too. Which bass do you use. Looks really highly crafted!
I believe its a Marc Chicone out of Quebec like most of his basses
Amazing \m/
Amazing Bassist!!!!
MALADE !!
Super playthrough !!
Go back to beyond creation pleaseee
How do you get such an aggressive / metallic tone on a fretless bass? Amazing playing, as ususal!
Crazy tone, awesome. Still hoping for a playthrough of The Aura (the song) someday.
Nice one Dominique, hâte de te revoir à Toulouse

Love how you double tracked for a part of the solo lead bass (Harmony)....hopefully I'm right
👍
He is the Thiago Espirito Santo from another world rsrs
Bass should have been higher in the final mix in my opinion! Great playing, soooo tasty!!!!
T’es mon meilleur bassiste tu me donne me le goût de passer à la 6 cordes.
🔥🤘🏽
I would love to hear just the bass. No guitar or drums. Awesome Playing! Definitely the Best

Seriously.. can you stop stealing everyone's girlfriends and wives with those magical fingers?
The bass on archspire sounded better but i like the fretless bass though
