Loved the vid, but Peter III was not the son of Empress Elizabeth Romanov. She adopted him as her heir, but he was in fact her biological nephew, the son of Elizabeth’s late sister, Anna Petrovna.
Peter I is the third and last male Romanov ruler of patrilineage while his daughter Elizabeth is the last Romanov ruler of patrilineage descent. The Romanovs after 1762 are of matrilineal descent being descended from Anna Petrovna whose son become Peter III. In term of patrilineage descent, the Romanovs after 1762 is descended from the German House of Holstein-Gottorp as Peter III's father is Charles Frederick, Duke of Holstein-Gottorp. The House of Romanov after 1762 is officially known as Holstein-Gottrop-Romanov.

The "clues" of Nick II & his family's whereabouts were not left by Sokolov, they were left by the chief executioner, Yakov Yurovsky in a note Yurovsky had intended as a kind of brief memoir.
Tsar Mikhail was not thrilled to be tsar. It was noted several times that during his return to the Kremfrom his country home where him and his mother was hiding that they complained several times and finally his companions got fed up and told him to stop because they all made sacrifices too. (Granted it was in Russian and I'm sure it didn't go down exactly like that but it's noted this way across several references). Great video though! Very soothing to listen to a full history of such a unique family history

Peter III was not the son of Elizabeth Petrovna. There are SOOO MANY little errors that add up to BIG ones. And because you should understand your responsibility to do your best to provide real, true facts to your over 1 million subscribers .
I don't blame Nicolas II, I blame the idiot who killed Alexander II, he single-handedly changed Russia's fate for the worse.
