Yep, it worked. I haired out on pulling the big piece of dash even after removing the 4 screws in the middle and the clip on the far left. It was bending and I gave up. But I found the mouse nest I was after and was able to vacuum it up. YAY! Thanks again. Tenga buen dia!
We do not replace the stereo with GROM Audio car kits, we add the car kit to the factory car stereo for extra functionality. The parking sensors will keep working.
Hello, great video. 2 questions still: 1-the title also mentions “....Bluetooth kit install”, but in the video I do not see a Bluetooth function demonstrated, only the smartphone that is connected & operated through a cable (which is also something my car does not have). Does the Bluetooth operation also work with this installation? 2-what is the connection that the smartphone is plugged into? My old 2006 Z4 does not have that plugin in the ashtray, so looks like I first have to buy & install that. Thank you for any tips & info.
Hello, thank you for your questions. To answer to them: 1. Correct, we did not demo Bluetooth function in this video. You can check the video here: ua-cam.com/video/-VL4V9xDymY/v-deo.html It shows the functions of GROM Bluetooth. We have two product lines that have Bluetooth - GROM-USB3 (where you add Bluetooth as the Dongle) and GROM-BT3 Bluetooth car kit. 2. You need to install one of GROM Bluetooth Android iPhone and USB integration products, and then you can connect your smartphone to it. Please visit our website gromaudio.com to look for the compatible kit for your vehicle. We are also available for life chat or tech support online. Thank you!
Looking at this video and the bluetooth demo video, I don't see that the GROM device sits hidden behind the stereo on the Z4. It has to be visible. Is this true?
We recommend it to be accessible. You can leave it in the secure location such as glove box, or somewhere beneath glove box. If you hide it at the back of the stereo, somewhere inside the dash panel, it will be hard to access if you will need to service it. Also when installing make sure that the location is free of metal parts that can affect Bluetooth reception.
@@tim-hill The trunk install version is available. However we do not recommend leaving the unit in the trunk as it might affect the Bluetooth reception. Even with the trunk connection we still recommend bringing the module to the front of the vehicle.
@@gromaudio I bought the GROM BT3 and successfully installed it in the trunk. I mounted it against the plastic back wall between the trunk and the center compartment where there wouldn't be metal between me and the unit. I then successfully paired my iPhone with the unit via Bluetooth. I turned on the radio, advanced to the CD, and I got no sound from the iPhone. I then cycled through to auxiliary, then the radio, then back to CD. The streaming then started but automatically switched to radio by itself after about 1 min of play. This went on a few more times until I gave up. Is there an easy explanation or fix for this?
hey, what is the tool called that you used to pry out the air vent? about to do this and don't want to mess us the metal surrounding the vent with a screw driver
Hello I’m working on 2004 Z4 I using the groom audio BMWB3 it conect to my phone and show the songs on the display.. but no sound coming out of the radio..
The radio will still play. No any OEM functions are disabled by the installation of GROM USB Android iPhone and Bluetooth Car Kit, except external CD changer.
The GROM Bluetooth USB iPhone car kits for BMW Z4 no-nav, no DSP stereos are available here: gromaudio.com/store/all-bmws.html

Will this product work with the bmw business cd 10 speaker system and top hifi amplifier I have in the boot/trunk?
yes it will work as long as the actual vehicle is listed as supported. Check gromaudio.com to see if your particular vehicle is listed as supported.
Well done! I just need to get behind the dash and radio removal is necessary. I was sweating out how to do it, now I know, thanks!
You are welcome!
