A box truck might help you with trash picking too if you get one with a pull out ramp like they have on U-Hauls. You could push or pull some of those bigger items in rather than struggling to lift them or flip them in. Might save your back a bit! Great video as always!
Maybe you could rent a box truck for just a couple months out of the year? Like 3 months in a row, or every other month, and figure out what the best time would be. Focus on storage units, bubble wrap, and house clear outs. Then fill up your warehouse, and return the truck. Maybe this would work better without a truck payment?🤔 Anyway, you know best! Keep on going! Your the best!❤
Glad your neighbor has the talent to figure out your mower problem. I hope he taught you some stuff so that next time you have a problem you could figure it out yourself. A bad switch is cheap to do. Happy for you. Hopefully it will keep running till winter comes.
In 2021 my wife and I sold our house and downsized into a townhome. Lots of stuff had to go. I could have had a yard sale and maybe sold $5-600 worth of stuff. I did not do that. I didn't have three days to waste. So, we got a 20 yd. rolloff dumpster. Everything low value or trash went into it. Everything usable and decent went out to the curb, where a FREE! sign was posted. In three days, everything was gone, one way or another. Local scrappers and scroungers made out great, and my headache never happened. Worked wonderfully well!
I like when you go to the scrap yard and tell us how much you made. Businesses like Uhaul and Ryder sell/auction off their used box trucks maybe for good affordable prices. One of my neighbors had an old used Ryder box truck and it ran for years. They sold it, so don't know how much longer it lasted after.
Well, taco, this was a good one. Thanks for taking me along. I wish you could have found more stuff, but it is what it is. I fell again, but nothing hurt badly. My physical therapy is going well. Its for strength and balance. I can only do I t two days a week there, but my grandaughter and I go through it every day here at home. I'm actually enjoying it. I love ya!Stay safe, healthy, and blessed.😘❤️🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻💞💞✌️
Hi Taco. Another rainy treasure hunt. Nothing stops you. You still found treasures. Nice. Nice to have good neighbors I am sure you help your neighbors all the time. Give Salsa kisses for me Thanks for the ridealong. Love ya.
Cast iron cracks because it’s supersaturated with carbon, which not only makes the base metal extremely hard but also creates graphite flakes. The flakes create pathways for crack propigation. Not glass but definite can crack just as easy if it’s a thin cross section.
Thanks for sharing your day, the ride, and the conversation...yeah..I've got that grass in my drive,too...I try to pull it up every day on my way to the mailbox...have a good week end ..🥰🥰
Taco you scored some good stuff. I hope you dry off and chill awhile laying with Salsa. She needs more “Dad” time with you. Be safe! Blessings always my friend! ✝️🙏😊
Middle indiana. Had our first rain in 11 days ! I m.buying s new printer this week. Going to get the one advertised with tank instead of cartridge . Best wishes. I do hope for a box truck for you. Financially.... i see the point of larger load/ vs 2 trips for auction or storage unit pick ups. I m up for junk metal drop offs . Thanks for your time and video.
See if you can find some blackberries and make a apple and BlackBerry crumble or pie, in the U.K. we call it bramble's, it's a start of the end of the summer. I have made jam
Hi Taco. I’m glad your neighbor helped you with your lawnmower, it sucks when one breaks down. PS4 was it any good? Hope your weekend is going great. Take care. PEACE. ✌️✌️✌️✌️✌️✌️✌️🥰🥰🥰🦮🦮🦮🦮🦮🦮🦮🥰🥰🥰💯💯💯💯💯💯💯
Here in Scotland UK, we usually leave the plug on if an electrical still works. If it doesn't, we cut it off, not the whole cable just the plug. Saves pickers time. Used to love scrapping, cutting n selling logs etc as a kid. Seems to be beneath kids nowadays which is a shame because it was fun. And we made money of course 💰💰😁
Unlike upright, concert, grand pianos, electric pianos cannot be tuned. Once they lose the correct notes, an electric piano is basically trash. Probably was already scrap before left in the rain. Sad to say, but even musical instruments are becoming disposable over repairable.
I don't breakdown cardboard without wetting it first, once dry, recycling bin is fine. Cardboard was wet when it was created, lol. They don't want it wet in the bin where other recycling can contaminate it while wet.
Take the top off that keyboard and dry the PC boards with paper towels and a hair dryer after u git the soaked up let it air dry a wile then try it out it should still work looks like a nice keyboard Yamaha keyboards are pretty good ones..
Actually, most places will not take wet cardboard. Can mess up the machinery. Would even weigh more to deal with it. Lots of other reasons. Same with used pizza bixes.
Hey T.S., I just Subscribed to your Channel. So far so good, I'm also Subscribed to Renee(Paper and Moose). Keep up the great content, much respect from Tucson AZ
The easiest weed killer, and the most environmentally safe is to make your own with water, salt and Dawn dish soap, there’s easy to find recipes on the web.
I first thought it was the way he loaded his truck, lol. I think it is his last name. Taco is what he is called. So it's his name, but what's his real first name?
Wet stuff does not bother me. I take it all. That's how few opportunities I have to find anything remotely free. All my free piles go in a few days as almost no one does it here.
I'm interested to know the prices of scrap in your area. Copper Aluminum . Steel..we scrap aluminum cans mostly. But if find copper I grab it. We are in Illinois..think viewers be interested in your local prices vs ours..maybe?
I am beyond your ultimate number on fan I would love to get to know you better you give me a reason to move back up north to be with you I grew up in Glastonbury Connecticut
Instead of a box truck, you could put a hitch on your van and buy a single axle trailer. That would about double the cubes of the vans capacity but limit the load so as no to stress the transmission as a loaded tandem trailer would. Box truck if older and used, could be an addition to the van but then more licencing and insurance. Your current van is more handy on some of the narrow streets you travel. 👍👍

Good to know you have a good neighbor who helped you with your lawnmower.
Taco, thanks for the great adventure. Thanks for taking us to the iron yard with you. That was interesting, see, you know, that Junk LOL.

On that big pile was a wooden babydoll cradle! I want it! Go back and get it and ship it to Texas! 😉
He likes leaving the good trash and taking the bad. Paper and moose digs.
It sounds like you have a really good neighbor who enjoys helping others. Another grand adventure thanks
Man Ohio needs that rain! Good to see you!!

Thank you for another episode. You do make a lot of people happy, not just the garbage men.
👍👏🤗

That big pile ,looks like an eviction cleanout
Great video. Enjoy watching 🥰
Thanks for taking us along
Turn the keyboard upside down and let the water drain out.
Good idea!
Uhaul sales off their trucks and you can get great deals plus you wouldn't have a car payment .
Need to put in drainage tile ,that will help with the standing water problems .
Thanks for sharing your day, the ride, and the conversation...yeah..I've got that grass in my drive,too...I try to pull it up every day on my way to the mailbox...have a good week end ..🥰🥰
I love going to the scrap yard on your channel. ❤
Do you ever scrap the old metal Christmas trees? Mike The Scavenger scraps them, that’s why I was wondering if you ever did
I live in the U.K. & my lawn is soggy, I got my garden folk and used it to make drainage holes in the lawn
Maybe a big trailer would be an option too ?? I dont know if you have a tow hitch on the transit 😊
You should use only the key in switch, no key chain stuff. Vibration will destroy the switch because of the extra weight.
I think you made inside the truck," cool"!
Taco you scored some good stuff. I hope you dry off and chill awhile laying with Salsa. She needs more “Dad” time with you. Be safe! Blessings always my friend! ✝️🙏😊
Thanks TC.
Don't throw in grass it will come up and kill your grass, throw in weeds

I’m curious if the Yamaha piano works. Most electronics are fine if you leave it to thoroughly dry before plugging in.
See if you can find some blackberries and make a apple and BlackBerry crumble or pie, in the U.K. we call it bramble's, it's a start of the end of the summer. I have made jam
Hey Taco - you said RoundUp is bad for the environment. Is bubble-wrap ok?
Nice find for the ps4 there's money 💰 on that
Instead of a box truck why not an enclosed trailer. Less maintenance , cheaper insurance, no motor or drive train upkeep. Plus less upfront cost.
Yea good idea Ths
I upgraded to a larger van so that I could expand my business…
17:40 I find the best stuff in these big piles.
♻️💰♻️💰♻️💰♻️💰♻️💰♻️💰♻️💰♻️💰♻️
Buying a box truck in my opinion is a good idea. It would save you a lot of worrying about buying anymore storage units. Great job as always Taco!
Thanks Taco and wow what a haul! I am happy for you
Great Video!

Think people (well ill speak for myself) would be interested in the recycling yard stuff, especially if you tell us how much you got for each load.
Weeds - Boiling water works just as well as roundup does and its better for the environment too
Aaahhh my foot 🥵🔥🌋🌞🤠
Nice Neighbor
Drop my cast iron skillet on a concrete floor in 1971 and it split in the middle.
Thanks!
Appreciate it!
great finds!

Taco carry a jackets 110 power pack in your truck to check electronics to see if they work
crabgrass is so bad this year, hot weather
Those floor Jack's are expensive, and even if it didn't work, you could have got $25 for it.
Great keyboard
Hey Taco. Thanks for the ride. Take care. Have a great weekend.
The tote w the play station. Think i would have taken the whole tote
Lol! I just told my kid to be patient, that I'll find a drum set out there.
Near O'Hare airport. Bad storms. Always watch you. Tina, Al's wife
Sorry you missed the childs crib.Let it dry out.

Nice fun trash picking video
You should consider a 14 foot Bobtail with a lift gate🌵
Water and electronics.....no problem, just let it dry out before powering the item up.
Should be ok as long as the electronics are dry.
Fun day ✌🏻
I loaded up everything and sort later .lots old books money old coins and old old stuff and newer stuff ❤❤❤❤❤.😊
I don't breakdown cardboard without wetting it first, once dry, recycling bin is fine. Cardboard was wet when it was created, lol. They don't want it wet in the bin where other recycling can contaminate it while wet.
Hope you stay dry Taco. Its raining down here in Texas too
Don't feel bad Taco, I don't drink either.
Take the top off that keyboard and dry the PC boards with paper towels and a hair dryer after u git the soaked up let it air dry a wile then try it out it should still work looks like a nice keyboard Yamaha keyboards are pretty good ones..
Hello y'all. North Alabama here. We really need rain here.
wow ps4 your so lucky
Get a sponsor with a dump trailer, use it when you need it.
😀
One question: Why don't you park your truck in front of the house that your picking up the scrap instead of crossing the street??
Trailer would help with storage units
"A little water won't hurt anything." Local recycling says. Calif.
3 prong is usually for a laptop
Nonsense about the wet cardboard
Actually, most places will not take wet cardboard. Can mess up the machinery. Would even weigh more to deal with it. Lots of other reasons. Same with used pizza bixes.

Why is your channel called Taco Stacks? Is it for stacks of folded cash? Buying lots of tacos?
It's his college nick name
I first thought it was the way he loaded his truck, lol. I think it is his last name. Taco is what he is called. So it's his name, but what's his real first name?
Good. Neighbors are priceless
I think it’s Tim

I would have taken the plastic storage drawers at the first stop to sell at the flea market, no?
I'm interested to know the prices of scrap in your area. Copper

How is your heartburn??

Why do scrap yards want vacuum cleaners, micro waves and other mostly-plastic items?
U should have sold some of the blue boxes
🎹🌮🚚

Why do you park so far away?
Why do you cut the cords off when someone might come behind d u and could use that item???
I have answered this hundreds of times thru my 960+ episodes, make sure to subscribe and check out the longest running trash picking on all of UA-cam!
When you sort scrap into categories, it's a separate one.
Your thumbnails look like they are from 2017
Want to design some for me? I will pay you if the video reaches a million views. No really I will.
Had to turn off, isn't this guy smart enough to turn around and park next to the trash wtf
It’s peeing water 💦
