Dear Dr. Greenspun, at first I was really thrilled to discover this ground school at MIT as a comprehensive introduction into the basic theory required for PPL. The more I have been watching, the more disappointed I have become, though, and this part about meteorology is the top example - and the last one I will watch. You seem to be stumbling around the topic a lot, your coherence is flawed and you often defer students to "think about this a bit more at home" instead of explaining the topic at hand in an understandable way. Merely reading any textbook is bound to give me more insight. I sincerely hope this is not the standard quality of teaching at the MIT. It would explain, though, why the US have been absent from human space flight for almost a decade and required a genius (and perhaps a bit mad) engineer from South Africa to get them back again.
thx for posting these lectures. Unfortunately thats the least prepared lecture so far in this playlist. I guess i could present this slide deck just as informed and boring.
Thank you for this course, and posting it on You tube.

Agree. Dr. Greenspun rambling made quit this course. The slides on their own are much more informative.

This instructor doesnt know how engineers think and really shows his bias. Sad. A scientist must of really hurt him.
No loud enough.
