The story of Polaroid is actually quite unreal. From dead company, to grassroots revival campaign, to buying the actual factory, to restarting production, to BUYING THE NAME OF THE COMPANY.
Polaroid is a labor of love, and my little bluetooth photo printer of theirs (Hi-print) is awesome!
I was gifted a Kodak version by parents for Xmas in the mid 70's. It came with only one pack of film and it was about a year til I could find a way to get more film, the battery was dead. Months later I got a battery and couldn't get film due to Polaroid sueing Kodak. Then came the class action lawsuit by the Kodak camera owners to get reimbursed by Kodak. It was late 80's when I somehow got a letter from the lawsuit saying I was entitled to reimbursement. I just had to send them the camera. As though a 20 year old would still have a worthless piece of trash from 15 years ago. Kodak, you still owe me. Peace/JT

Happy Birthday! I was sad when someone said they are backwards, or implied they are behind because they did not know about this. I'm an American living in Iran. The first time I went on an airplane, I was a baby. I grew up with all the modern technology. Yet coming to Iran (much more than any other country I've lived in) has helped me realize how much we don't know or have forgotten. When it comes to knowledge of herbs, gardening, animal husbandry, I'm learning from 0. I feel like I'm learning to socialize, as I'm not used to being part of a huge family. American families are normally parents and kids. Here, there are cousins galore. When it comes to things like clothes, toys, lamps, etc., my husband laughs at how my repair skills are so poor. I'm used to a consumer society which doesn't mend often, but instead throws out. Your culture has been around for how long? How Much do we know of it? So we are also behind. These are a big hit again and I think it’s great. My daughter has the small one. I remember the big ones from the earlier times. They do look like a toy. Love to all!
I haven't watched the video yet, but I wonder if those pictures will hold up better over time. I have some very old Polaroid pics that have darkened considerably over the years.
I have a photo album of polaroid photos from the 70's and they look OK.
Although, they remain inside the album and not displayed in the open.
I also have a tiny one that made 1 inch photos with sticker backs, back in the 1990's
Parvati is always such a treat. She has such a curious mind and you can always see how delighted she is to be learning about something new.
Polaroids are so neat, in a lot of ways they're more impressive than more modern technology because it literally looks like magic before your eyes whereas the digital cameras and computer editing software, while very powerful and impressive, are less mysterious. Great idea to show this to them!

The internet is such an amazing thing when you think about it. Abdul wasn't even in a video before but now his children and grand children will have a record of him sharing his thoughts and memories.

That's exactly my plan lol, and I know some digital modeling myself too like Zbrush, etc. It's been years since I last time designed something and someone 3D printed it out. I'm not sure how do you get a 3D printer in Pakistan though. I read somewhere that it's illegal

@@TRYBALS I didn't know you did some digital modeling! That's super cool! I also didn't know it was illegal in Pakistan to have a 3D printer, They also have like t-shirt printers, where you can print any design on any cloth you put into the machine that could be cool instead!

First of all, Happy Birthday Adnan! This was cool to see and to hear their hopes for their future, and how it all came from a Polaroid camera. I remember my first experience with a Polaroid and I thought it was magic. My sister and I ended up taking the camera from my aunt and taking lots of pictures.
When Muharan mentioned his hesitation to going to school, it made me think that he should see the video about how an elderly woman in Africa decided to go back to school even if it meant she was taking elementary classes. In my family, we never think you’re too old to stop learning. My mother has even thought about going back to College and I think she’s around the same age as Muharan. I really hope Muharan fills out that admission form.

I’ve grown up with cameras all my life, from the disposable kind you need to wind, to the first digital cameras, to smart phones today, and still whenever I take a Polaroid photograph I feel like a real life wizard! Watching them develop the old way is so cool! And it makes me appreciate widely available cameras in phones all the more!

How wonderful that "wafting " the photo does nothing to speed up development but we have been doing it for 70 years , then the very first time the gentleman decides to waft it to speed it up ....Fantastic, pure Joy !

Had an old Polaroid camera in the 70s. Haven’t seen these in decades. Loved them. I hope he does go to school to learn. Age does not matter. A lot of people here in America go back to school in their 50s and even 60s to get a degree. Your never too old to learn.
As a kid, our neighbor, got her BA at 73! That always stuck w me. Ur never to old to gain knowledge!

It's rare and fascinating to find people in the world who still have lives in a time that is long past for us. Almost like a living time machine. If we were able to show technology to people far back in history, this is about as close to it as we can come. And one reason this channel is so fantastic. Along with reactions of course. It's the perfect mix.

I just found this channel today, and I'm so happy that I did. It's been a dark time in my life these last few months, but these videos give me so much hope. As far as education goes, books and videos are great, but hands on experience wins every time. You could show the Trybals crew a video of a Polaroid camera but it could never have the same effect as being able to hold and use one and see how it works. And I have to say you do a wonderful job at describing to them the history, science and usefulness of this technology and above all, making it fun. Happy Birthday!

This is a very profound moment. Everyone involved is so innocent of outside sources and their reactions are so instructive of what is important and what is not to those who have always had these technologies at hand. The simple replication of your own image and what a novelty it is emphasizes the divide between online culture and living an actual life.

I have small requests regarding translation:
- Could you place them slightly higher? Watching on PC, whenever I move the cursor and progress bar appears, for those few seconds it covers the middle of text, making it hard to read.
- When using "did" or "didn't" in a sentence, the verb should remain in its basic, present form, without -ed. Eg: Not "Did those worked" but "Did those work", not "it didn't existed" but "it didn't exist".
It's such a blessed experience to be able to share these moments. It's a real beautiful thing the work you do

My niece has recently gotten into Polaroids, I had kinda just assumed they went out of business. I got to play with her camera a few weeks ago and it was the first time I think I've even seen a Polaroid much less used one in well over 15 years.
Was pretty cool, I kinda miss actual pictures.
