I think he was trying to give him a more relaxing vibe instead of Hyunjin doing it again or give him time to think as if it was a test. Iván is a nice person and if he made Hyunjin uncomfortable wasn't on purpose (though since this is kinda edited we can't actually tell if he was uncomfortable)

And you're wrong, he gives him time to think, when he saw that Hyunjin was having trouble answering, he helped him so that an awkward silence wouldn't be generated. Yes, Ivan knows about kpop and likes it. Just to clarify that he is very loved because of how respectful and warm he is, he would never make any kind of comment like that.

You know, I think it’s so brave of him to try to speak English even with how anxious he got, he still tried to say it in English. I think that this shows just how great his character is. He was nervous and he showed it but he kept preserving and trying his best so could execute what he wanted to say to the best of his ability, without anyone’s help. Great job Hyunjin. P.S This reporter was so chill, and he had an accent to! He knows how to read the room and he tried to help clear the atmosphere and in doing this (I think) he helped Hyunjin feel more comfortable with who he is, how he speaks and not him feeling degraded because he can’t speak the language as well as everyone else.

You know, I think it’s so brave of him to try to speak English even with how anxious he got, he still tried to say it in English. I think that this shows just how great his character is. He was nervous and he showed it but he kept preserving and trying his best so could execute what he wanted to say to the best of his ability, without anyone’s help. Great job Hyunjin.
P.S This reporter was so chill, and he had an accent to! He knows how to read the room and he tried to help clear the atmosphere and in doing this (I think) he helped Hyunjin feel more comfortable with who he is, how he speaks and not him feeling degraded because he can’t speak the language as well as everyone else.
the interviewer's first language is spanish, not english. and when he started modeling being really young he didn't know a single word in english, so i guess he understood how hyune felt
