Here we check up on things and make any needed last minute touch ups and adjustments to the steel bed job. We also bed the magazine a little better for a good fit. The next video we will do a few other last minute operations and we should be good to go for a range test POSSIBLY by this weekend if the weather holds up for us.

Iraqveteran, what i always do when i bed a stock is turn it upside down. that causes the air pockets to rise upward and shows no air pockets on the surface. it makes for a beautiful bedding job. some of the compound will run down onto the action so you'll have to put release agent on it. once the compound is thick enough to cut, trim off any that ran onto the action.

I just want you to know that without all your videos and expertise in the Mosin Nagant I probably would have passed up this amazing rifle. You have made me a believer in the Nagant! Thank you!

You should be using a torque wrench for the action screws. Much more consistent... especially since your bedding the rifle.

i wonder if it wouldn't make more sense to try and bed the action BEFORE the removal of the cosmoline. love the build though! i've recently looked into(more of researching) getting a mosin!

@gilyardk Helps you maintain coherent tightness on screws, which helps you maintain coherent barrel harmonics.

could you guys possibly do an episode about gun store ettiquite?
obviously we should not horse play
but what about other things that might not be so obvious,
like handling merchandise and what not
would love to hear your opinions!
    Take care!

From where did you get the stock for this video. I was thinking about doing a custom mosin nagant and I really like this over the Ati stock.

@Iraqveteran8888 i just recently picked up a mosin nagant in excellent condition made in 1943. i am looking to sporterizing it and also looking for inexpensive ammo for it that is non corrosive. It would be a great help if you could recommend a website that sells that. Great video. I have watched all of you other mosin nagant videos already lol. Very well done. Thanks
