Shout out to whoever PBug is, man carried Dan through the whole playthrough even when no one else was around, watch out for Pbug, count every time he shows up in this stream just to help out, and Dan didn't even realize it was the same guy most of the time as Nabbit, and then as blue Yoshi at the end. And shout out to all the helpful ghosts across both parts, I'm gonna have to put together a list for all of you. Edit: ....JESUS CHRIST JIMMY IS EVERYWHERE- Every time I think he decided to take a break, Jimmy is in ANOTHER level, HE'S EVERYWHERE AND EVERYONE SIMULTANEOUSLY-
@@JoelTheParrot I don't. Honestly I was using it as a gender neutral, same way someone may use "mate" or "bro" as gender neutral. I always get hyped when I see them since they're one of the most reliable phantoms. Also I'm about 1/4 the way through documenting everything, Jimmy is another MVP and is currently in the lead for most appearances, they're also the first ghost Dan left for dead.
The Sound Off? badge is the greatest reward for 100% a game I’ve ever seen. I hope they do some version of it in more games. Just imagine in Pokémon, instead of some generic cry, its just one guy saying the Pokémon’s name in a serious, dead pan voice.
The final level having the badge challenge music gives me the same energy as finding out that the guide character that's helped you throughout the game was the most formidable opponent all along
Dan: Thanks for your help, light blue yoshi. The only time I think he's been featured on stream. ME, who has been keeping track of all 185 helpful phantoms so far: HA! Haha! Ha! No. pbug has appeared 15 times so far, albeit mostly as Nabbit, and light blue yoshi has been played by 8 of the 185 players so far. Yes, I've been keeping track to credit everyone. Yes it has been painful. Yes I am still working on it with just one hour left to rewatch after the main vid has been out for over a week. I am dedicated to remembering all the friends we made along the way, even if no one else does. I've been at this for over a week, and I'm not stopping until I reach the end.

Just finished the video and I’m really happy you had fun playing online, it looks like it made the game more enjoyable for you and was really fun to watch
I understand how Dan feels about there being too many Koopa Kids, but at the same time, I feel they were the most interesting of 2D Mario World-Bosses (at least their Super Mario World versions), but they feel stale now because of being reused in NSMB for so many years. I agree that the search party levels are a slog, but I feel like they were designed with (local) multiplayer in mind, as a change of pace similar to all of the breaktime levels The game is a very different beast in solo play compared to online, but both are fun I love the Wonder Flowers, but not enough to hope that they make a Super Mario Wonder 2. I'm probably a bit jaded from all of the NSMB games over the past ~15 years. Also I love all the music in this game, especially all of the callbacks
Doesn't Bowser Jr act as a few of these bosses tho? Like how he burrows into the ground, does pom poms duplication thing etc Arguably the bjr fights are damn good in this game even if it's the same character each time
@@The_Jumping_Box I do agree that the wonder effects slightly varying the fights between hits is a nice reprieve from the fight being the exact same. To me, even with that variance the BJr fights feel more like 2D Boom Boom fights instead of any of the Koopaling fights (except Ludwig in World), since the attack pattern is shell attack> jump around/clone/burrow>shell attack
I find the comparison of Drill Mario to Sonic Colours really weird, the Drill Wispon lets you go super submerged and stuff. I'd more quickly compare Drill Mario to Forgotten Land's Drill Kirby, just in a 2D Environment. Some surfaces can't be drilled into, drilling is a fully binary "Underground or not underground" rather than going down different elevations and stuff, you can emerge to jump up and kill enemies, and you have an aerial attack that drills and takes out enemies. i find the idea of the p-balloon being from mario 64 ds instead of super mario world to be strangely common all things considered?? i don't think bowser jr. is 7 years old, in this game he had a major growth spurt if you look at him in comparison to other characters even without the wonder flower, he's like, hitting pubery or something. now see, yes sensor was my most used badge by far, but i don't know why RT is using it with online co-op chat backseaters. for some reason 3:10:44 made a tear wiggle around in my eye, it shouldn't be that funny and yet, it's about time he played toadette sometimes i forget that the toad voice is coming out of rt wow im surprised rt took a hit in the mid-air spin section of the final final. though, i think i died there once too, so we all get one, right? whoa second death O_o can't believe the audio from the japanese devs made a thwack sound that sounds like an english swear, and the japanese devs didn't re-record the line to sound less like an english swear, wowzers zowzers mamamia @_@

Been waiting for this one!
Standees nuts
Got-em
I’m so ashamed that I didn’t think of this.
This is the comment I should’ve been looking for.
How could you forget your sister?!
I lost it
Aren’t they cousins not sisters
I watch loads of youtubers who are 30 so Rt isn’t old. You technically only old when you turn 40
Idk the search party ones look like low stakes fun to me
I exist
Do you?
...I'm no longer certain...
I try
I hope I do
13:00 game starts
