You make a 70 year old lady very happy, never thought about I'd say 😊 thank you I love the restoration. It's so rewarding and one day one day I'd love to visit.
One day you are turning a bread bakery into a house for your family while you are being a gardener on Stephanie’s Chateau Diaries UA-cam channel and the next you own your own chateau. And while Stephanie and Philip are trying to decide which bed looks better in a room, you are having to figure out how best to install the floors and put a roof on it. But I bet you wouldn’t have it any other way because when all is said and done there will be no mold or cement on the stone walls and you will know where everything is including where the noggins are. Congrats on having 500,000 of us invading your life.

Congratulations on 500K🎉🎊 We keep coming back because this is the most entertaining channel of it's kind on You Tube. I've watched a lot of these restoration/do it yourself type channels over the years and yours is the only one I never lose interest in. I think it's because you are just so down to earth and easy to relate to. You talk to us, not at us and you don't talk us to death because you've got work to do. You went from "nowhere to live" to "restoring a chateau while living in a yurt" in less than a year. This chateau is going to be so perfectly yours...by the time you finish, there will be no stone in that entire building you haven't touched.

I really don't know why i watch this every day. Maybe because it is just so relaxing watching other people work. Maybe because I like old beautiful buildings saved - especially in a world where destruction and ugliness has become so common now.
I think it's because you would think no one in their right mind would have taken on a project like this - by themselves (mostly). And yet against all odds, here's Dan (who I firmly believe IS in his right mind) and jumped right in. He never seems to have a doubt that he can do this. It's actually very inspirational.
