This brings me back to one of the happiest years of my life :) I met my current wife, changed career, dropped things that made me feel bad, watched a ton of anime, attended several manga culture events, made a lot of friends... It's amazing how we connect memories to music!

Man old anime community really was something special. Before toxic shipping and watching a anime just because its trendy. Back then they had love for the source and stuck through it no matter the bullying. In this video you can feel that happiness
shipping was always a toxic thing back then too, but it was more contained in their little spaces where you could ignore it easily. now its all over twitter/other popular sites and only way to escape it is to use niche websites not many people are on. -_- i too miss the passion fans had for anime series though (like you'd have people in a fandom for actual years before they left). feels like people now will love an anime for a month or two then move on to the next fad anime that comes out ASAP and forget all about what they watched only just a couple weeks ago.
