Hi 83 crew! Pilot here! I'm getting better and making my way back in full force! I was sad I was sick and could not enjoy the F-35 Lighting II with yall when it released but now I can. Indiafoxtecho should be awarded for their hard work on doing all they could to finally get the amazing F-35 Lighting II to XBOX simmers. So huge THANK YOU to Indiafoxtecho for that! This plane was an instant buy for me and I'm sorry I'm just now getting around to review it. But now that I am feeling much better we are back in full swing like I said. I have to give both Asobo and IndiaFoxt Echo massive congratulations in bringing this amazing Fighter Jet to Xbox. I know they had to do alot to make it work and it took alot of hours so I can forgive the lower res textures and lack of other stuff which is on the pc version.
Can you believe we got it already! It's a great addition! It's going to be really good when they update the controls and Whatever else they can do! I'm glad you are getting better!
I hope they do update it, because I'm immensely disappointed.
My biggest problems are the flight plan doesn't show on the NAV ans the Afterburner sound is just 🤮.

I’m loving the F-35B! The only weird things I’ve noticed is that altitude hold will automatically disengage at 20,000 feet and will not lock above that. To get around that I just request 20,000 and set my altitude hold at 19,900 and that works for me. The other thing I’ve noticed is that I have to google the ILS frequency for a given airport and runway and manually input that into the flight computer. Once I input the correct frequency the ILS system works great. I’m having a blast with these planes!

It’s pretty darn good, flew her thru the Kawaii mountains and ravines and the nanny systems were going nuts, had a blast!

Over the past few updates they really have downgraded the plane…why? I assume to help get it on xbox. It was great at first now its kinda buggy. We’ll just have to wait for them to update it again.

Hey pilot 0083 I just saw u flying in pensacola in Msfs! I hope u get better!
- When I am landing on xbox with F-35 (normal landing), sometimes trim is automatically set to zero and I can't trim it, even when I turn off auto pilot I can't trim it either!
- On take off, flap is weird! It changes just when nose wheel is off the ground!
- Sometimes while taking off the aircraft steers to the left or right.
-Body texture resolution is low, I know they hat to do this because of xbox memory but it seems bad.
I hope those will be fixed soon with an update.

Did anybody check the updated F-14 on xbox?
- does real F-14 have auto trim system like F-18,16 or 15? It is weird, I turn off yammw, trim and pitch switches (in front of auto pilot switch) to make it like old version.
- before update, when flaps was fully extended, ther was a massive drag and you had to power up the engine to 45-55%. But now, not only drag effect is much lesser, but also you shoud put the engine to idle, and in this situation the aircraft has at least 140 kts , but before this update, you could easily touch down at 130 kts (similar to carrier landing)
- external fuel tanks can not be removed.
- some external fixed cameras are removed.
Thx for bringing these up mate : I hate it about the external fuel tanks : this need to be called out : I hope it only needs a fix cuz other than that, she's a beauty !
I just bought the plane and was poking around a little bit to learn everything. The flight characteristics are really weird to me and I can’t seem to get the flaps to function right.
By chance how do you get the aircraft carrier in game I haven’t play this in a while

It's the drone mode, which can be used with a controller as well. just need to assign it in your control setting
*UPDATE* I’m able to load in on the runway but if preset a flight plan or fuel or even load in cold and dark, I crash every time.
Just purchased it and sad to say it crashed on me the first try. I’ll keep y’all updated on how many tries it takes for me to actually be able to fly it. So far, I’m not hopeful.
My f35 does not fly this well. Maybe the default controller settings on xbox are bad or its a controller thing in general, but I compared mine to this video and the plane rolls like 30% slower. It feels heavy and has no maneuverability. A split S is out of the question for some reason.
From what i understand they nerfed the plane in order to get it on xbox. The plane flew decently well when it first launched. Two updates later we have this. We’ll just have to wait for them to update it, better controls and flight mechanics should come soon.

@@halcyononeon2575 Thats why I thought there might be something poorly configured with my settings. Maybe a sensitivity thing with the controller, no idea. I have the same problem with the Typhoon as well. So far the f15 is the only jet I have that feels like I imagine a jet should.

Did you have covid?? I had covid around 8 months ago and just recently got it on vacation to the Smokey mountains. I think I got it from Dollywood the theme park. I’ve been so sick the past 6 days but I finally woke up feeling like a brand new man today.

The f35 B have so bug but the C is perfect. It can land on carrier with arresting cable but cannot launch
It can launch. Put the launch bar down, apply parking brake, go to mil power, wait a second, release parking brake

Which carrier do u own and are u on Xbox? I wanna buy both The miltech carrier and the f35 but only if the cables will definitly work.
@@MikeP01111 I’m on Xbox, yes. I’m using the aircraft carriers global addon but it should work with anything. It’ll even work on a standard runway if the altitude is low enough. It’s all in the plane, not the carrier.
@@MikeP01111 I bought both kind of carrier on xbox and the best is the last they added but the first they added is actu cool too cause u have the English and French carrier
Strangely, mine is virtually unflyable. Veers hard to the right when above 30kts on the ground, pulls maybe 3g at 300-400kts. Pretty unstable during flight, too
IFT also said they can’t replicate the issues some are having, and the few UA-cam videos I’ve seen, everything seems to be fine for them.
@@dougb.5106 try turning off the assisted controller sensitivity. This worked for me , also couldn’t pull more than 3g 400kts. Now flys much better 5.5g turns below 400 8g above.
@@shhhmity thank you! That definitely helped a lot. Do you also get a lot of intermittent turbulence that makes the plane yaw a lot? I’ve turned all wind off and still get that, too.
@@dougb.5106 I don’t get that but have heard of others getting that problem also. I just had the poor manoeuvrability which was fixed turning that setting off. It hasn’t worked for others so certainly is strange. Must be a conflict with individuals software. I’m running the su10 beta and works great now. I hope IFT get to the bottom of it. Glad I could help solve half the problem for you 👍🏼
Description says mouse is required for Primary Control Display. Anyone know if this is true of Xbox? Or can it be used like a Garmin touch screen with L-stick and A-button? Confirmed info only please. I don't want to drop 25 quid based on a hunch
You can use the touch screen with a controller, no problem on my end.

The vtol physics are wonky or dumbed down a bit shouldn't be able to point the nose at the ground with out having a real bad day and some explaining to do to the higher chain of command and I believe u use trim to control it in vtol
Try using trim controls u may need to bind some I know a lot of people don't bind aileron or horizontal stabilizer trim I believe that's how I seen flown when it came out on pc and get some rest man
The B model is (like real life let's be honest) the less pleasant to fly. Too heavy... The A model is my favourite so far.

Now everyone, not to worry, once wasm is fixed after su 10 : she'll be just as good again ! Or maybe not : the memory footprint issue has nothing to do with wasm and it would only makes sense they released it just before su 10 because this is the best they could get it to be and the Xbox being able to run msfs properly was all a lie. But it costs the same as on pc !

I aprecieate indiafoxtecho for the hard work as a xbox player we dont get attantion and its anoying beacuse i want the pmdg 737 but need a pc same thing with a bunch of free planes and the orbis flying eye hospitol cant even fly so whats the point thanks for the great video
Jeez have you heard about punctuation ? I'm not even a native english speaker and i struggle to understand what you're trying to say... The fact that the F35 is on Xbox is already some kind of a miracle considering how complex the avionic is on this plane. They had to remove some stuff but not that much and the aircraft is really nice to fly.
