Absolutely "scrap the cap". Can't imagine why anyone hasn't done it already. Also realize that the REAL buying power of the dollar has significantly decreased. So hourly wages and salaries are looking a lot larger, while buying less. That's the long way around of saying that, if a new "cap" is instated, it needs to be exponentially higher than before, to account for those increased income amounts.
