Great work! There's a lot of good information here. Great to hear that you approve of the updated Bogies grips. There is definitely no "one size fits all" when it comes to grips. That's why we are always looking for feedback for improvements! 😎 Still LOVE the look of the brass grips on that frame though! 😍🔥
Excellent Video! As a Q4 SF owner I whole heartedly love the effort and information of this video. You're a great help to the community. I don't know if I want to get the aluminum grips from Walther or the thin checkered from LOK, but the standard grip hump hurts after a while sometimes and I have medium hands. I love the idea of the palm swells also! Just like the grips from my CZ75 Omega, although mine were plastic they still felt great.
I just bought a (excellent condition) Q4 FS with gray/black Bogies already installed and found them to be very aggressive. So much so I put the original black grips back on and found them to be quite acceptable. Maybe I’ll see if I can sand some of the sharp edges off of the Bogies and get them more suitable for use.
wow ‼️that one piece wrap around grip is just like my CZ vz 24-27grip, in wood, from nearly 100 years ago ‼️ love the LOK palm swell full checkered grips on my CZ 97 .45acp. fills my Large to ExLarge glove size hands. love my CZ 75 pre-B orig rubber grips with the side swells, fills the voids in my large thin palms. Your spot on, grip, no loosening of grip after every shot is key‼️ I have Glock 17L and 34. both move and challenge your hold. Shame on Glock. CZ and Walther get it right out of the box. Great presentation 👍👍👍👍👍
Excellent review. I bought the Q4 and installed the overwatch precision flat trigger. Love the trigger but the grip is too small. Will get the palm swell
Wow! Congrats on the Walther sponsorship! That's terrific! Also congrats on your upcoming wedding! Is she a shooter too? Great video with very useful info. I'm a Lok fan as well and also shoot CZs and my Q5 SF at local (e.i. just for fun - I live in small town Alaska) steel plate matches. We have similar takes on their grips. I have palm swells on all my CZs except for one which has Coolhands grips (they just fit my OD green P01 better than Loks). I agree a palm swell type set of grips for the Q series of Walther's would be an instant buy. Upon buying my Q5 SF I ordered a set of Lok thin grips to try, knowing I could rely on their understanding return policy if I didn't like them. It was a risk since I like palm filling grips but figured I'd give them a go. Tried them and returned them for the standard version. I also opted for bogies for the first time. Love them! Like you my next favorite are checkered, which are on most of my CZs. Thanks again for the informative video and good luck shooting for Walther! (Interestingly enough, I'm lately finding I'm shooting my Q5 better than my CZs - go figure 🤷🏻♂️)
Thank you! Just to clarify, Walther doesn't sponsor me (yet!!!) My soon-to-be-Mrs. Diamond is a pretty good shot but doesn't shoot competitively. She does actively encourage me to go shoot as often as I want though, so I am very lucky.
@@hdshooting1729 Ah, thanks for the clarification! And yep, you're a lucky guy! My wife is much the same - she enjoys shooting every so often and is actually pretty good and she's completely supportive of me shooting and spending the time and money to do so. 👍🏻
Really appreciate this content, just purchased a q4 sf so enjoyed the vid immensely. Just wanted to ask how the q4 sf is to carry everyday?? I own quite a few pistols but usually carry a Sig 365 with the little Romeo, been practicing with that carry for a long time and quite proficient with that little pea shooter. But as you know there’s nothing like a Walther, especially the sf. Any issues with the weight? Just think I should be carrying a pistol everyday that I would choose if gun size wasn’t an issue. Anyway, just would like your opinion on carrying the q4 sf. Thanks again for the informative and entertaining video, just found your channel.
What made u pick walther q5 sf for competition what benifits does it offer you jist doscovered your channel has me thinking i may use a steel frame myself
Also, I have a question if you have time. I think the Q5 is going to be my next purchase. This is going to be my first higher end pistol. If you are going to get one would you just get the steel frame vs the polymer? The polymer is so much cheaper. Also I heard that the trigger for the Q5 match was really designed for the polymer over the steel frame. (Some dude at the gun store told me this) Is that true? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

These are some of the best review videos on UA-cam you need to come back!
That brass Q5 SF is absolutely gorgeous.
I also ordered the bogies for my Q5 Match. Absolutely love them. Now thinking about picking some up for my Beretta! Go LOK! KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK!
Thank you!
Great and very helpful review.
Greetings from Germany.
Thank you, that was one of the best reviews I’ve seen.

Well thought out review.
Just found your channel, had to sub. Really gorgeous looking Q5's and Q4.
Great video. Subbed. Love any information about the Q4SF, which I'm looking at as both my next purchase and my first Walther.

Hoping the experience with wraparound walther grips will convince them to marker 92x performance wraparounds.
Veloce texture is king!!!
Great video
Enjoy your feedback. Post more…👍
Good video. What trigger are you using and are you happy with it?
Do the brass grips have a clear coat? I'm wondering if they will tarnish with age or if any applied finish would chip if impacted. Thanks.

Can You make Walther Q4SF review? What do You think about q4sf?
I will definitely do one! All things considered it might actually be my favorite firearm I own.
Awesome to hear how highly you think of the 4”. I’ve been kicking the can on buying it. This endorsement is helps
Where did you get the optic mount for your Q5 match SF for a Sig Romeo3 max optic?
Thank you,
Edgar
Hi - Did you do any type of modifications to fit the CZ magazine release buttons or did you just screw them in?
Who did your relief cuts on the g10 grips for the shadow mag releases?
