I am currently reading the book and inam.learning a lot about political economics ,history and all... This book is an answer to many questions I have been asking myself
Recommend ; Keynes, 'the return of the master', by Robert Skidelsky, for a greater understanding of the man, his attitude toward his contemporaries (namely; Hayek and Friedman) classical views, his reasoning and reaction to the political turmoil he lived through. It's obvious reading this book that Skidelsky is a true scholar of Keynes and he has picked on what we all pick up on which is the moral goal of just aiming for 'the good life' rather than being entrapped by the love of money rather than understanding monies actual value, which he says is the need to provide so as to have a life that is 'the good life', which could be 3-4 day week earning an income, and rest of the week pursuing interests, education, service to others, etc. It maybe a 6 day week if your job is your passion, the point is, having the choice. That is the core of a good life.
