Those who have doubt about 5/7,
    To find SP, you can actullay do : 210x * 2/7 = 60x . Now 60x should subtract from MP: 210x to get the SP: 210x - 60x = 150x
Sir did 5/7 to directly get SP using multiplying factor decrease formula ( 1-2/7 ).

Sir in 23:28 how does 28.56% = 2/7 when discount decreases you told us n/d decreases then n/n-d
increases, so sir when 2/7 decreases how does it become 5/7 ? It should have been 2/5

Those who have doubt about 5/7,
You are finding SP directly from MP ..(n/n-d) is not Required .
    210X is 100% which is 1 Subtracted by 28.56% which is 2/7 . So (1-(2/7)) = 5/7 of 210 = 150X.
Now CP is 150X which is exactly 28.56% Less than MP (Simple Math)
    (Math Works out 30% of 210X is 62 - 210-62=148 {which is around 150x} -Math Works out ) .
    If you do 2/5 * 210X = 84X which is 50% (105x) less than 210X (math doesn't works out ) .
Note (To Keep it Simple) : Only use (n/(n-d)) formula to find MP from SP and (1-(n/d)) to find SP form MP

We are not increasing the sp in the second case. See the method that u are referring to is used to determine the percentage of increase / decrease. But for sub part 2 of last question, we already know the MP on which we have to give a discount. So new SP will be MP ( 1 - D%) = MP ( 1- 2/7) = MP (5/7)

IN the last qn for finding the discount percentage the eq is 73.5/210 *100 so cancelling the zero we will get 735/21 so 1/21 is 4.76 % so, it should be 735*4.76= 349.86 percentage i know this is not right, but still want to know the answer, if 1/7 is 14.28 and 2/7 is 2*14.28 = 28.56 percentage, then 1/21 * 735 should be tecnically 349.86 percentage right?

Just a small mistake by you here, it should be 735*4.76% (you missed %age) i.e. ideally 735 is multiplied by 0.0476 and not 4.76.
      Hope it clarifies!
      Thanks.

    CP will be 64

    Sp will be 90

MP 210 tha na. Reduce hua 28.56 percent yani 2/7 in terms of fraction.
      To apan SP nikalenge to:
      MP-2/7(MP)
      MP common le, 1-2/7= 5/7.
Minus wagera karne se achha MP*5/7 Direct. You get the value of 150.

    For 24:00,
    (n/d+1) = 2/7
Answer becomes '150', that is correct!
But when we go for the inverse
    i.e., (n/d) = (2/6)= 1/3
    = 33.33%,
    which makes it to '200x'
Inverse is not getting equal, as given for the markup price,
    How?

    • @sumitdutonde5079
      @sumitdutonde5079 3 роки тому

      Further theory:
      210x(5/7) = 150 ; for decreasing value 2/7
      Also,
      150x(4/3) = 200; for increasing value 1/3.
      Help sir..

If we assume MP=100 then the question becomes quite easy to solve.
    MP=100
    SP will be 75
    CP will be 62.5
    After giving discount of 5%
    Sp will be 95
    Profit will be 32.5
    Profit%= 32.5/62.5*100= 52% answer
