Amazing guest on this one. I like it when the guests know the show, she definitely passed the vibe check and just a great overall chemistry. Also super interesting and informative topic especially for me being from Europe and knowing embarrassingly little about all this.

I really loved this pod. I live close to Brant County. My ancestor, Dr. John R. Dease, (married to Native known as Jane French) was a superintendent of Indian Affairs along with, and close to Sir William Johnson (husband of Molly Brant) and Joseph Brant. I'm tremendously pleased to see part of Native heritage explained in detail in a forum that reaches people that may not have known otherwise. More pods like this are definitely welcomed. I'd love to see Lydia back on the pod for a more in-depth visit into the Six Nations and the relationship between Native peoples and their struggles with the British and United States establishments and how Natives have been directly affected, including the creation of Reservations and current issues that are still relevant today. Since my heritage is made up of New York Caughnawaga (Quebec Kahnawake), German and Irish/British, I tend to feel a conflict within. Though I've read a lot, it's not the same as hearing from someone who is an expert speak about modern aspects relating to the past. Thanks, Lydia.

Absolutely loved Lydia! Not only was she well versed on the subject, but her sense of humor and contagious laughter really made this episode stand out for me. Please bring her back for another topic...or even to join in when her Dad comes on.

Great podcast guys. Not if any on here has mentioned that there is 3 different levels of Indigenous Protected Land across Australia. Most of Northern Queensland, WA and NT and throughout the Australian Nullabor plane are Indigenous areas. Every state also has these areas as well which if you want to travel across or around that land you need to pay a fee and have a special permit. So whilst Australia doesn’t have reserves like the US does, there is land that is for Indigenous people. I’ve done drives before and had to have special permits to travel on the land and you don’t pay the government this.

The thing about food sovereignty and whatnot is that not everything will grow everywhere... and that taking up land for food production that would be better spent being left be is both economically and ecologically a mistake.
Globalized food markets are a societal good on a planetary scale.

is it outside the realm of possibility that Jim perhaps puts up his own money combined with crowd sourcing (im sure he could get at least 50 grand within a couple months from the fans) to make a Legit season 3? But unlike FX where each episode was like 150K, just find a good producer and director (hello!) and spend about $15k per 35 minute episode and release it right on youtube, tik tok, ig, facebook. I believe it'll grow the channel from 300k subscribers (250k of which are inactive and hurting you) to 5 million by the end of the season. Each episode touches on the most and top trending aspects (calculated with time trending, A.K.A i'm not saying touch on some topic that was the most trending in the world for 1 day, but more so do the math and figure out time trending mixed with activity) of society within a 3 and a half month margin of error per episode. Jim is about to retire from the road (makes sense, all comedians overdo it. Look at jay leno or seinfeld, they havnt toured every state or countries every year for decades, yet no matter where they go and whenever they do it, it'll be a full crowd, giving them tons of time in between to do whatever they want...apparently that means having tons of cars, but Jim is smarter than that unless its a holden monaro he won't be sidetracked by simply buying fancy things and having expensive hobbies.....we'll allow the pinball machines but the cap ends there). Here's my proposal: Maybe even change the name and start fresh. But bring the best parts of Legit back but in a new format (still a tv show, but produced differently:). No corporate or commercial B.S. Jim Jefferies show was good but it was too produced and was filtering Jim to to point where it just felt weird he simply wasn't able to swear, it just felt icky, and was obvious everything he talked about was him regurgitating a bunch of stuff his writer room created that he now reads of the teleprompter. Bill Maher has writers, and 80% of his show Real Time is other writers, but not only did they understand him better, but it was on HBO giving him the freedom to swear and be politically incorrect (no pun intended). This new show by Jim would need to be dope and addicting in a Breaking Bad type of way. Jim Jefferies a.k.a Jimmy Nugget or whatever his real name is, does best when he follows his heart and isn't confined by not only tv channels/networks/talent agencies, and even his own tours. And don't worry Forrest and Jack, you will make more money and become more renowned with this Legit Season 3 idea because you guys are smart but you are being too safe. This podcast for example is great, but your marketing for it isnt working for some reason. They should get way more views and you all know this. Part of it is because the ad's come in too early and are too long, there's nothing wrong with taking a pay cut for a couple months in order to increase views and retention. I truly believe the reason joe rogan podcast blew up was because his ad's even tho done in the beginning, were super entertaining at first. They were literally about flesh lights and pills that make your brain smarter. Way more interesting than ads about therapy or whatever the litterbox ad was in this video? like i replayed it three times i still dont know what the product is. is it some company that makes dealing with cat poop easier? how? why? also nobody who is smart even has cats. people with cats dont pay for products. look at whenever a criminal gets busted for child abuse or murder, they always have cats and its always in a trailer. you've seen the true crime docs. come on. Ok im out of time but hopefully this comment gives u a godfrey nugget of inspiration and ideas to think about future endeavors. You have the power to make the next breaking bad. Thats all im saying. Peace out (disregard the fact this whole comment was filled with tangents and run on sentences, look beyond that for the real message)
