Question of the Day: If you’re a mom, do you think motherhood consumes you / your identity ?
Motherhood can be tough! Especially when the kids are still young and dependent on you for almost everything. I want to be believe it gets better. I'm accepting of my current situation now though it wasn't easy at first. It's still a learning process but God's got us

Being a mom is the integral part of who i am,its sch a joy to raise my baby and watch her grow. It takes a lot oftime and energy and can be overwhelming, but i honestly dont regret it
At my current stage of motherhood It does consume me 😪
Beautiful Vlog Sissy. I completely understand the last part because I was once in that frame of thought and fought it for years.
I didn’t want to be a “Mom blogger” even though my Content is diversified but if you think about it, you’re a Mom first before any other thing and it’s only natural and inevitable. I accepted it and love the fact we unintentionally create/build memories especially the fact that kids grow quickly.
They can always go back and see themselves in different stages of their life’s. Love love love it❤️

I believe motherhood is part of my calling. God is counting me to raise godly children for Him. It's a conviction that gets stronger by the day. It's part of my responsibility in making the world a better place, one person at a time
I love this. Never really thought of motherhood from this perspective. This perception of telling women to not get consumed with motherhood doesn't apply to everyone. Yes, when we train our children right we are helping to make the world a better place

Oh Also I remember the first video I ever saw you breaking eggs in one bowl and transferring to another, I said ha sisi has come again oh not until few months ago, we had 5 eggs left at home, I broke the first four into a bowl, on breaking the fifth one and pouring into a bowl, turns out it was spoilt, oh my God! I was so sad, mad, angry, everything, then I remembered this is why Sisi breaks it into a bowl first. Since then I don learn my lesson 😂😂😂😂

Tiara will definitely know her way around the kitchen when she grows up...and she is so smart she pays attention when you talk. I love the part she started saying cooking soup after seeing the cooking spoons hahhaha
I think it can consume ones identity and it’s ok if that is what you want (or that’s the phase of life one is in). But I personally try to remind myself of who I am before being a mummy. I workout regularly alone, find time to hang out with my friends without the little one etc

Yes, at a certain point in time. When I was a first time mom with twins and going it alone, I was so consumed that I had practically no time for myself and didn't know how to work it into my schedule. As my children got more independent things shifted and I found ways to make everything work.
Love that spinach sauce. Regarding the pot you got, is it dishwasher safe? I ask because of the wooden handle. I have seen wooden handles in cooking tools trending but a lot of them cannot be used in dishwasher. Your hairstyle is so adorable
As a content creator who has been doing this for nearly 10 years with kids, you go through different stages with motherhood. You evolve. Right now, I am evolving with the girls being teenagers and more independent. My oldest has had her own channel so she is not so involved and my youngest is quite shy at time but we do have moments when everyone wants to be on camera. I give them their own space and independence. I also try to do what I love.. but let me just say, your kids will ALWAYS need you😂🤣
The pot handle is not actually wooden but looks like wood. I didn’t see instructions for dishwasher and I kuku didn’t check since I don’t have one… lol the typical 9ja kitchen does not have one. You are our mama at the top na, you’ve been doing this for years and you’re right… I will just evolve with time. Love your comment!

Motherhood is the grace of God. Being a mother is refreshing, time consuming, fearful, daunting, scary and fulfilling. Unfortunately, there is no Manual for good parenting but the grace of God, sharing issues with like minded people and communicating with influence to the kids in the best possible way.
At the moment, being a mother to 3 wonderful boys, being a full time student, running businesses and mentoring people all at the same time can make someone want to change their mind about being a mother. The grace of God keeps me going though and I don't think it has consumed my identity though. It can threaten to but I get to control that and still be who I want to be.

I totally understand what you mean by saying you didn’t want to be defined as a mommy blogger or the likes, truth is having kids just puts you in the phase because they are with you the whole time, I actually don’t mind being tagged a mom blogger, gonna enjoy it cause I feel like I’ll miss them when they are much much older.

We love you and your beautiful family, Sisi. You’re my forever fave on UA-cam. What you said at the end reminds me of the saying “life is in phases, men are in sizes”. This is what we are consumed by now. But a time will come when that won’t be the case anymore. Like you said acceptance comes with it, but it’s normal to feel like what more is there to my life from time to time. All in all we stay focused on what’s most important. And we stay grateful along the journey of life. 😊🤗

Oh my goodness that breakfast is so heavy!!! What would lunch be if breakfast is that heavy. The non sticky cook wave are so awesome and Tiara has really grown.
It’s typically brunch and sooooo heavy but my husband loves the combination of it. Once we eat it, we knock off for the day 😂

We had 2 weeks mid term break. As a work from home mum it was not easy dealing with the kids while working, we also had lots of assignments to do . Helping my kids with assignments is as good as going back to school myself. It's not a easy task

Yes I believe so am a mother of a disable child and it's always looking after him with carers his 22 his a twin and I have 27 year old daughter but I would not ask for any thing else. My disable son does to college am free to do what I need but if his home is difficult because I have to watch the carers properly.💞🙏🙏🏿🍾🎄🥂🍓🥕 season greetings did with her lovely family.

Motherhood is an interesting phase in life. There are good and bad times but it's best to embrace it. Time flies and before you know it the kids are all grown up with jobs even married and then you probably would begin to miss motherhood again

A colleague at work said that she sent her daughter back with some of the homework undone one weekend because she was tired of helping her to it. So much homework for young children. Thankfully my son's school gives minimal homework and not everyday too
