    Those are some stout numbers bro. And you’re right when you said most people don’t opt for cams on these cars. We just go straight to boost after FBO.

      I think ppl go to boost because they want big numbers on a dyno. These cars set up with cj manifolds and cams are upwards of 500 wheel on e85 and that is enough to run some quick times properly set up on a good day you can get into the 10s meanwhile there are boosted guys running 11s and 12s because they threw boost at it to get a number and still roll around on stock suspensions and 20 inch wheels with street tires lol. I'm like what's the point in 600-700+ wheel hp if you're gonna waste it rolling around on a stupid setup like that (non performance oriented setup I call it). These setups like he has can run fast for the wheel hp they make. It's not always all about peak numbers on the dyno. I think its cool seeing na builds. A CJ setup new will run you close to 2 grand with the tbody and intake you'll need and ppl always say that is alot might as well go boost but there is a huge difference between 2k for that and 8k for a blower kit new. Even with the cams its nowhere near what boost will cost ya.

      Michael Harris That is very true, sir. I must confess I did the same lol. I slapped a Paxton and went e85 with no much suspension work. This lead to me just spinning and having horrible wheel hop @ the track. Fortunately, I’ve worked on suspension and weight reduction over the last few months, so the car should be ready after some testing.

    Question! I know Gen 1 coyotes go FBO CJ manifold and all the good stuff, But Can the Pistons and Bearings hold up to This kind of Stress ? Just curious.

    • @michaelharris748
      @michaelharris748 4 роки тому +1

      Yes ppl rev them to 8k all day. Its recommended to upgrade the oil pump gears and everything that goes with that but outside of that you're good.

    • @negativesplits06

      Yes, they can easily hold max NA power. There are some guys taking these to 750whp before having issues. The weak link in Gen1 coyotes are the rods.
