Amazing program and service and terrific tutorial. I'm a math teacher and so much of this is a perfect real application of our geometry transformation units. Thanks for making this. May have to show my students this video if you don't mind.
Absolutely. The features you will need as a teacher will remain free forever. Your students must be registered, but they can still save models locally without a free subscription. Saving models to the cloud to share with others will require a paid subscription.,
Great video Irv!! (as usual), and I love what you're doing here. Just to nit pick a bit, I think your description of rotate on axis (~22:00) for Y and Z axis rotational example are reversed... facing the drawing, Y axis rotates clockwise/counter clockwise; Z axis rotation spins horizontally. Keep up the great work!!
Interesting idea. I am collecting all of the potential UI improvements, and we will prioritize them. We have a lot of exciting features and enhancements on the way. You can check back often to see our progress. The version number is in the footer.
I'm looking forward to the rest of the videos. I usually use fusion 360 to design my models and even customization works well for personal projects with the use of parameters but it's hard to share the customizable models with others, because they also need fusion 360 to use it which is really annoying.
Hi Irv. Is there a good way to build parts that mesh? Say I have a part I am happy with, but now need to match it go another part. I can subtract the first from the latter, leaving, say, pegs where there are holes in the first part. But those parts will almost surely not match as printing of the second part will go slightly outside the specs. So, is there a way to subtract a thin layer from an object while designing it?
What was the thought process that led you to originally calling your channel Dr. Vax? Bad timing? Or? edit: ua-cam.com/video/waVEuuVG1l8/v-deo.html, nevermind I answered my own question
VAX/VMS was a computer system from Digital Equipment Corporation and in the local DEC office they used to call me DrVax. I had to change it because of bad timing but the new name is a better description of the channel.
This is a very impressive video. Especially, for someone who is not good with programming. Thank you Mr. Shapiro!
You're very welcome!
Awesome video! A very detailed step-by-step process on starting a project. Thanks!

@@MakeWithTech that's terrific, thank you. There may be school security and safety protocols but definitely will be sharing this!

Wow amazing! What a great video. I really learned so much from watching your video Irv.
Glad you enjoyed it!
A great demonstration of why the mouse was invented!
Another idea for the web site, would be a floating search box to enter another model without scrolling back to the top of the page.

I aim to make the customizer process easy for everyone and rewarding for designers.
No. You wrong. If you export file in STEP format then anyone can use that file. In any cad program.

Its good but I will keep using program like design Sparks 5.0 NOT VERSION 6.0 for my project. Its more easy.
DOC!!!!!
Hope you enjoyed the video.
