I have a dumb question for y'all. I dropped a 454 in my '69 Elky. Do you think 2" drop springs would make the front end too low with all the added weight? Or would factory length coils with the added weight make it ride similar to yours?

Honestly I’d be guessing but it would surely be a bit lower if you ran the exact springs I ran. You could possibly run factory springs for a 350 car or even a 6 cylinder car and it would sag it down. I’d probably try and run some drop springs designed for a big block Chevelle that way the springs rates and drop are correct.

If I did it would have to be way overpriced. I’ve got too much time and love into it as it is for me to be ready to sell her. I appreciate the compliment though!

If it was just the springs and I wasn’t doing the other components I’d say you could have them in and done in a couple hours, maybe faster if you’ve got a lift. If you’re replacing bushings and ball joints while you’re there do yourself a favor and just buy whole control arms loaded with bushings and ball joints it’s way faster, but a bit more expensive.

Also thing "unboxing" and "reaction" vids are stupid. Like who cares? haha.
Nice 69 sits like it was supposed to in the first place! Cant go wrong with rallyes on these
If going 17s you can squeeze a 315 35 15 under there...slightly narrower probably a better idea but-
