    Many years ago, Carol Duvol introduced a silver Femo-type clay on her show. It was sold in full one ounce pieces and the results were amazing. Thank you for re-introducing it.

    I took a class in high school it was so fun!i learned so much! Cotten tail creations was the shop i first tried it at! Then i found another instructor who i actually worked a summer , but she wasn't as willing to teach as she said she would or felt like she was holding back alot of info , but any way im glad i found this channel! You remind me of the fist classes i took i hope to be doing this again soon! 🤗🤗

    Thank you so much for this information on this new clay. I am really a virgin in metal clay, only having made just a very few things. With the turmoil that has been in our extended family (both in-laws have dementia) I really have not had a lot of time to work on my vast amount of projects. Now with the FS999 I can get started again and use my kiln which I have never fired in the year and a half that I have had it. I've only used my little pot kiln and my torch thus far, so now, look out world, Michael's going to blow the silver clay world up, (yeah right). Really though, thank you for this new clay.

    Very interesting. The only problem that I would run into is the strength. Fine silver is ok with necklaces and smallish earrings, but won't hold up well on fingers or wrists. Especially how rough I am in my rings and bracelets. Interesting concept though. BTW-the ring she is wearing, was it made out of FS999? Wouldn't mind seeing a "how to vid" on that. Thanks!

    The most amazing thing.,as far as I can see, is the lack of lubricant!. It also seems to have a longer working time: that is the bane of my life as I'm finding it very difficult to work as fast as the clay dictates.. It would be useful to know whether oil isneeded and what the approx working time is please? Thank you for sharing.

    • @cooltoolsvideos
      @cooltoolsvideos  7 років тому +3

      Hi Lynette, because of this clay's extreme flexibility, oil is not needed as compared to PMC3 products. The approximate working time is similar to other fine silver clays. Hope this helps!

    I love the flower. You could also put a tube bail on top or at the top on the back to thread the thick necklace cord through. Can this clay be fired with a torch and if so, how long does it take to sinter fully that way?
