I honestly feel like this year was the year of transparency. I’ve seen so many ppl who shared how much they get paid and also being real about how much they actually make from content creation or if they also went back to a 9-5 job
5:30 Here’s my theory on Facebook- it’s not #1 due to preference or because people love it and are engaged. It’s #1 strictly due to groups. I would LOVE to delete my account but I stay because I’m in so many Facebook groups that provide me value on occasion. Would love to see a chart that shows which platforms people engage with the most because I doubt it’s FB.
I love hearing predictions on how things are changing. Shiny object syndrome is truly the worst and there are soo many ways to get distracted. My goal in 2025 is to double down on the platforms and things that work for me. Great video!

What I think needs to be implemented as quickly as possible is videos, made in partnership with two channels, appear on BOTH CHANNELS. Nowadays you upload the video and just tag the other creator in the title, but the video only stays on one channel.
I have a video about camera confidence (linked below) but honestly, it's mostly down to practice! Speak out-loud to yourself at home, film yourself, volunteer to speak in front of small groups when you're ready & you'll be surprised how quickly you can confidence 😊
My target audience is Midlife women and I created a Substack about 3 weeks ago. Why? The platform feels like what social media used to feel like - a community. I don't know the demographics of Substack but I do know there is a good amount of Gen Xers on there. If that's your market and you like or don't mind writing it's a great place to go. Like Jade said, there is video and podcasting. It seems people are using it but it feels like people are still using mostly written content and photos (you can use Unsplash in your posts for free or your own), at least with the community I'm in. I would demand transparency of AI generated content as well such as scripts and credit to video titles. I noticed trends of certain titles being copied like 'how to get ahead of the 99%' and 'look poor to be rich'. At least credit the original creator coz I felt deceived when I discovered that. I felt those copiers had imposter syndrome and lost respect for their channel and unsubbed.
