If they can get away with it, they will (look at both Hulk and War Machine for prime examples).
If they can't, and with how popular JD is as Sparrow that's not a big if, they'll either just kill the franchise, make it a cartoon on the Disney channel (still gotta sell that merch and ride sales, right?) or wait till this all blows over in a few months (the public is finicky and always easily distracted by Bread and Games) and bring him back on.

Despite being a HUGE fan of Disney, even I cannot condone Disney's rash decision to abandon Johnny Depp so quickly.
Johnny is right--he was guilty before proven innocent in their eyes.
Unfortunately, it makes me look down on the company as a whole and after the upcoming Dr. Strange 2 movie (which I already purchased tickets for), I will no longer being supporting anything Disney-related.

Willing to put your personal interests aside for your principles. I respect that. But wouldn’t be mad if you still support and watch some of their content. Ultimately boycotting might be good for you morally, but it won’t do much to bring Disney down. There are plenty of ppl who hate Disney all around and boycott on your behalf :)

me too movement was ruining a lot of good actors (but bad people) so studios tried to clean the house and keep the distance from them ... but it went a little bit too far and ended up as johhny said ... guilty until proven innocent, studio rather cut ties with him as fast as possible to not get butchered for keeping the role for domestic abusor ... and just now we learned that amber was the abuser ... so we waiting how will disney react to this ... and also WB with their aquaman 2 ... i love jason momoa as actor, but i am definitely not gonna watch aquaman 2 when amber is in it ... its a matter of principle for me, i will not support abuser

Nobody means anything to Disney. They worship the dollar and they squirmed at the thought of their bottom line being effected by hiring a "wife beater." They probably regret that every day, because firing Depp hurt them far more.

I really hope Disney does the right thing by apologizing and giving him creative control over Pirates 6 so he can give Captain Jack Sparrow the proper send off his character deserves. And it is HIS character because originally they wanted a more dashing, burly, charismatic pirate and were adamantly against his take on the character that became a huge success. They wanted more of a privateer than a true pirate.
I doubt he'd even go back after what they did.

How is that lawyer objecting to Johnny testifying that he was approached to work on a 6th Pirates movie?
He's relating the fact that he and Disney were in communication about another PotC project, not that somebody specific was telling him about a new PotC project.
It's touchy but not everything that you learn outside of a courtroom is "hearsay", and some is very much allowed in court.
Hearsay would be if Dave told Johnny that Dan said blah blah blah to Dave about Johnny and now Johnny is telling the court else Dave told him about Dan's statement.
That would be va sustainable objection, because the court should be asking Dave and Dan that question, not Johnny.
In this instance, Johnny is relating what he and Dave (Disney) were actually discussing about their future together and is very much admissable.
If this was a criminal trial, and JD and Disney were plotting a crime and that was v what JD was telling the court, about their conversation to commit said crime, it wouldn't be hearsay, it would be an admission of guilt in open court.
I'm not a lawyer, but this is like basic law 101.
That's just her lawyer's job; to advocate for her and try everything he can. Also hearsay is information that you can't really substantiate in the courtroom, so he's right for trying to object to that. PS I'm a huge Johnny Depp fan and definitely not trying to defend Amber heard (she's evil).

Massive props to Johnny for loving that character, bringing his own to that part and it resonated with fans. However. The film's leads were Orlando and Kiera. Johnny's character was a tertiary character. Ok. He exploded and is the backbone of those movies, but it hardly dented his career. I mean, he could have walked away willingly or just simpily written out of the films. He'd be fine. If there was no "deformation" on trial, Disney, the writers just didn't want him? He'd still be red hot property elsewhere. I mean there might be a role where he plays say Clayface in Batman by Warner Bro's.
The deformation is about how he lost the part due to misinformation or libel or slander. Not how he felt. It was a blow. You're playing to emotions. Not facts

Pirates of the Caribbean could just remove Sparrow as a character. It happens. That's Depp vs Disney. It's trying to prove the smearing of his reputation through misinformation led to being cut loose.
