The first time i entered the Mausoleum, holy shit, everything about it was fucking amazing, the music, the teleport system, the design, everything was hella cool

The Mausoleum alone shows just how much effort was put into this mod. Some of the mechanics of it were things I didn't even know were possible to do with the game.
There was more effort put into this mod than into afterbirth imo which make me sad.

The one thing I upset didn't make it to Repentance is the Split Map.
It was so cool going to the other side of the Mausoleum and finding more stuff like a possible second shop, item room and secret room.
I 100% agree.
There were the reasons to remove this content.

This floor makes Necropolis look like a fairly innocent place. Goddamn necromancers and barely dodgeable whip skeletons.

I absolutely love the Mausoleum because of what it thematically is: as a sort of complex for arcane study and possibly where all the 'psychic' items and creatures all came from. All the enemies and bosses in this floor revolve around the theme of 'necromancy' as well as 'magic', and as a result all carry unique abilities.
Even makes me wonder if there's some sort of story linked to the place, Dark Souls style. I mean, the fact that you can teleport to a separate part of the floor where all the walls are fully lit up with purple fires while the main part of the floor is somewhat in a state of disrepair does give food for thought.
Considering that Antibirth's new floors as a whole seem to deal with death, and depression, seems like it.

My idea of the theme and its rhyme and reason is such: the necromantic theme is present, though most of it touches on general magic and sorcery. The main idea of the floor itself is connected to how the concept of magic (including miracles) being inseparable from association with Satan and Satanism during archaic times; the floor is representative of Isaac’s fear of being accused of herasy or of being a Satanist- a fear struck within him by his mother’s strange behaviour.
If im correct, a mausoleum was a place kept to store bodies much like a necropolis and catacombs

Mudeth actually managed to make an indie soundtrack to the levels of Danny Baranowsky, Toby Fox and Phyrnna... What a legend. The guy deserves a lot of recognition.

Flavourius I think Depths is better than Necropolis, I have a music mod for Rebirth because I cannot stand its music apart from Caves. I don't like Necropolis because it sounds too depressing in the middle.

Really is a shame this won't be in Repentance, this was my favorite song from Antibirth.

The music and the level both make me think of Crypt of the Necrodancer. This track carries a sense of confidence and one of uncertainty at the same time. It's beautiful.

Theres a mod that puts the Antibirth music on the game
You know what Repentance could really use? A toggle between the classic Antibirth soundtrack and the new Repentance one. You could even give it a clever name like "AB Sounds" to reference Pokemon Heart Gold and Soul Silver's GB Sounds. Both soundtracks are atmospheric enough to fit Isaac in general, and I guarantee that it would be a super popular addition.

Knapsack Jappleack it's how it was in classic Binding of Isaac, flash version. Nerfs devil deals a little, but honestly they need it. Plus it encourages you to try angel rooms, which are much more worthwhile in Antibirth thanks to better items.
After recently listening to Massive Attack, specifically Teardrop, I can now really see where Mudeth likely got some inspiration for this, and honestly, I love it.

This is by far one of my favorite soundtracks of all the iterations of the Binding of Isaac, it instills such feeling with the Renaissance vibe of the Mausoleum, but also sounds ominously epic with the beat. Truly a well crafted soundtrack.

I gotta love that the Mausoleum is divided into two parts. One is a ruin with barely any life in it, and the second is flowing with some sort of obscure energy.
They need to make small chance of antibirth playing sometimes.

My favourite Antibirth floor and theme! Always clear the entire Mausoleum due how gorgeous and interesting floor design it is
I was playing some anti-birth and while i was at the mausoleum i got so intrigued by the soundtrack that i just had to look it up.
This is the second time i got so interested in a soundtrack that i just had to stop gaming and look it up and the first time was with Hotline Miami.

If you liked Hotline Miami's soundtrack I'm guessing you've also listened to Furi's? If not, would highly recommend it, it is fantastic, almost as good as Hotline Miami (since notably Scattle and Carpenter Brut who had songs in Hotline Miami worked on Furi's soundtrack.)
