You should match your camera to your power grid frequency. Looks like you set it to NTSC (30/60fps) while your power grid is 50Hz, hence the flickering indoors under artificial lighting.
Yes I should! I didn't release that after I filmed all the footage.. Sorry for that
@@CarlBugeja No worries. The video is about the content mainly and the videography second. I don't care a lot about white balance and focus, but the flicker makes me nauseas.
@@NicMediaDesign I feel you man, I also have major problems with flickering lights
hack- use DC power supply on ac powered led lights to get rid of flicker.
I'm up so early in Canada. I'm on Italy time. Bonigiorno Carl. Lab's looking awesome. You'll be giving away Keysight scopes in no time.
Lol, I bet ;)
After seeing this I'm motivated to make some changes to my own table
Several decades ago, I did electronics and the book on your desk that caught my eye: Horowitz and Hill, The art of electronics - a true classic
I'm so glad that I found this man like a month ago and absolutely love his ideas. I'm glad to see be here to bear witness to his growth.
Looking good!! Congrats on the workshop!
Also, tip for cutting straight: it's actually really easy. You just have to try and cut a crooked line, and fail. 😛
The size of that smile during the whole build...such a proud Papa. Let's see if the bench stays that clean!!
The new lab looks really nice! I really got the urge get my own labspace. Congrats and looking forward to more projects here!
I'm looking forward to new videos in this new lab
Nice lab , don't forget to install an alarm system and a 4 channel DVR , your neighbor from Tunisia .
The lab as well as time lapse of making your lab is so awesome. Congratulations for your new Lab🤩. I am too excited to see you working in your new Lab. Keep going and keep growing sir. 😇
I could never figure out where your accent fits, then I saw one brick of an exterior wall in this video and i knew in 1second - Malta or Gozo ;) !
I spent part of my childhood in Gozo, can not wait to return one day and live there again.
Now that I know there is such an experienced maker in Malta, it makes the thought even more exciting !
Carl... you are my hero ... now I know how to make my lab ... when I save enough money of course ... thanks !!
Happy to see your new lab set up.grow big dream big
Great luck Carl and i'm sure you will do awesome new stuff
I remember randomly stumbling into your projects a couple years back and I am very thankful that I decided to subscribe to you. I look forward to setting up my own lab soon and It is fantastic to see other people like yourself provide yourself with a better lab. I look forward to your future project, and I hope the growing pains are kept to a minimum.
Having a lab is the dream of all markers!
Wow ! Congratulations, your new lab is awesome.
Looking forward to more projects !
Awesome Lab. Congratulations to this great milestone.
You must be very excited.
Stay safe and Greetings from Germany.
Thank you for your content. I am also an EE student at UoM and find your videos very inspiring. Keep it up!
Congratz with the new lab. Looks awesome !
One of the most amazing DIY LAB I've ever watched in life. Congrats from Brazil, man, +1

Little flappy pcb man is flexing in placing to show all humankind
Carl congrats on the new lab, share some pricing on the wood, even the rent.
These are some nice upgrades 👌
Keep doing what you love
Good luck with your new lab, we are looking forward to new projects)
Thanks!!! Me too! 😃
Love what you are doing. Looking forward to what’s going to come out of it.
Love the new Lab! Keep your passion burning good human!! :)
The new lab looks great!
This viewer is looking on wistfully, wishing young Carl the best of success as he launches his first from-scratch lab... and is about to learn some of the same lessons we've all learned. Like putting drawers on the bench top wastes the space in front of them because you have to leave that space clear so you can pull them out. I predict you'll end up removing them from the bench and instead arrange them much more vertically, like in a separate bookcase arrangement -- there's no point having them spread out so horizontal, except for a few you use all the time. And you'll need some openings in the backing board to bring power cables, and space behind the bench to let power cords hang back there instead of lying on the bench. And 60cm (2 ft) may be a little shallow for a bench top (though test gear is shallower now than it used to be). And you'll probably want an additional shelf above the bench. And the lighting is probably too high to work as task lighting. But all in good time! I'm sure it'll feel good to have this expanded space!
Man, have I enjoyed this video. I found your channel recently, and I love your enthusiasm and your project(s), very inspiring! Your new lab looks amazing sir, great job!
I used to suffer from shed envy. Now it's lab envy.
Good luck and enjoy
You are genius
You inspires me to be creative!
Congrats, great workshop and to more amazing project.
Maaan, you are living the dream! Lab looks perfect! I mean you can even use it as a repair shop. I do really look up to you.
The hardest thing with a new lab space seems to always be power. You never have enough outlets, or never enough where you need them.
The LED lightning panels are excellent. I used similar ones to replace aging fluorescents... so much better!
Awesome! You really deserve this new lab. Is it possible to visit you if I go to Malta? I would love a lab tour :)
That lab looks soooo satisfying!
I'm jealous. This is awesome!
Super jealous! Great lab and excited about your upcoming projects in your new lab 🙌🏻
😁
Great job. Very beautiful
Looks very tidy! Nice lab
Congratulations carl for new lab. Grt job bdw.
Pretty cool lab Carl...🔥🔥🔥🌊🌊🌊💯💯💯
Awesome bro!
You should do some cheap soundproofing panels or something for the video sound quality! Not that it is bad now, but it would be a notch up I think
Awesome Carl, you always rock man
it is a great lab man, and its nice how you made it so clean and organized, for the past year i have been trying to clean up and organize my lab with no luck :D i have 6 desks and a 100m space to myself and still i don't know where to put my stuff
This lab will see great things
Congrats Carl!! What a big step - super cool to watch your progress!
Thank you so much! 😊
Awesome man!
dear Carl, I wish you happy in the new workspace. Greetings from Turkey
East OR West Carl Bugeja's lab is the best
Wow, it's the simplest and coolest lab ever bro)
Ohh what a sublime moment
Very happy for you a dream come true.
Absolutely beautiful
There is such a thing as a perfect commute. Judging from the bike ride you may find it close to perfect (scary fork, btw). I hope you're able to find happiness that work/play/home pivot. Good luck with another of our tropical "gifts". :)
Superb.........😉😉😉😉😉😉😉😉😉😉😉😉😉😉😉😉😉😉😉😉😉😉😉😉😉😉😉😉😉😉😉😉😉😉😉😉😉😉😉😉😉😉😉😉😉😉😉😉😉😉😉😉😉😉😉😉😉😉😉😉😉😉😉😉😉.

Nice lab bro
Impressive!
Cool job))
Hey, be careful with these lightbulbs that is probably causing some flicker with your camera... Anyway, i'm very curious to see your next videos! Greetings from Brazil.
Nice!
I love it perfect and inspiring I will make some changes
I'm building my lab aswell right now :D I've posted a little update but I'm just starting out right now with filming
Great!!!
My dream setup
if your place looks anything like mine in a few weeks, you wont be able to open the bottom drawers :P all the best to you and your new lab, I'm jealous!
Good Luck
Congratulations. I imagine lumber is fairly expensive to acquire when one lives on an island.
cool cool!!!!
Nice 👍 👍 👍 👍 👍 👍 👍
Good workshop check ✓
Hi.
your new workshop looks amazing.
From the landscape it looks like you are in Malta.
May I know what location you are, my brother is looking for a similar space anywhere quite central.
Thanks.
i would add some cross braising to the tables that is something i missed with my tables
Any chance you would post a list of the books you refer to which are on your shelf?
Nice sretup bro 👍♥
Ur an inspiration fr me,
if you were at my city, your lab covered by dust in less than 2 week ! looks so hard to clean ...
Woah that big anti ESD mat is awesome, where did you get it?
It's in the description 🙂
@@CarlBugeja thanks!
Move the hammer & heavy things lower. If they fall they hurt or destroy gear.
You are too brave to cycle in Malta, considering drivers behaviour there :)
hahahahahah
Good job dude. Love the vids and the new lab is awesome!
I would love to see some big projects in the future.
how can I buy a flexor drive from you or another store? thanks
copado Carl
nice broo
Be careful, those spatulas are the most dangerous tools there. I’ve accidentally cut myself to the bone (on my thumb) with one of them.
We all are inspired by Dave Jones aren't we? And offcourse electroboom and great Scott...
Great
"i will be the only person working here". Haha, relatable.
