Use a "Victory " class ship to win with the empire !😊
the best is Victory II you want to deal much damage against the enemy targets and stay as a shield for your Onager but Victory always good for this !

I really want to get into armada casually with friends. We played galactic conquest growing up, and would love to recreate that magic by combining legion and armada
From Empire at War? Or is there a game called Galactic Conquest? I loved EaW growing up!
Might I recommend the ol West End Games Miniatures Battles in place of Legion? It's quite good and incredibly customizable.
You could also use Rebellion to represent the Galactic map with each trooper representing a squadron. It would be a looong game over multiple days but could be great fun.
You can also add X-Wing for Rogue Squadron esk missions that give one player possibly large advantages in the Armada or Legion games.

Love this video! Thanks for the insights. I run an Arquiten with Needa and TRC from an older recommendation of yours, will probably modify that a bit now and look to add a 2nd. Love the Cymoon rec's and others. Will be incorporating these into some fleets with what I have. Thanks for creating and posting this.

I love big ships so I go things like Onager and ISDs. If there's not a Star Destroyer then it's not an Imperial fleet!
My meanest build is probably the double Interdictor-Onager build with a low point count to bid for second. Interdictors are all in on movement inhibition and defenses, they sit in front of the Romodi Onager and the only objectives in the hand are space station objectives. It's not healthy for the game but it's really funny to unleash on someone.
Cymoon and Arquitens are some of my favorites to run.

This Build is good because for the Squadron's Enemys are squishy to deal with and the Victory is to block any other enemy ship to deal dmg against your Onager.

100% agree with all your thoughts on the decimator. Amazing damage output for what your paying. I have never owned or ran 6 of them lol but can imagine some salt from the opponent when they realize how many dice your rolling

Speaking as a rebel player, I can’t tell you how many of my games have ended with “and then the ISD got into medium range of my flagship.”
17:34- I do love this bad boy!!! I didn’t think about or tried it with the 3rd and 4th small cards though! I wonder how much that would improve it to what I normally run?!?
Hey Crabbok, love these new videos! Could you possibly condense them into set 400 point lists? The Rebel one fit pretty easily, but this one is a bit more diverse (and doesn't all fit, haha). Maybe like "Your First Tournament Lists by Crabbok" format?
23:25- Yeah, I don’t think I have that!?! I’ve seen it before. But if I do have it then I’ve never used it in game…….. if I didn’t buy it though it was probably because I spent that money on SWL instead lol That is my first love of miniature war board games!!!

I like to use Phylons on the Cymoon sniper. They can really ruin a black dice ship's day.
I really like Armada! It’s definitely a fun game to play… The fighters are a pain to paint because they are so small!!! I guess if they were painted like the bigger ships are that wouldn’t be a big deal and I wouldn’t feel like I have to paint them……. Even if they were painted bad! I know a lot of people end up painting the full ships also but I don’t feel like I need to…. The original paint job looks great to me so I don’t really see any reason to spend hours painting something that I’d probably won’t even be able to improve on!?! I’m a good painter, not great! (I know this is probably not ever going to happen or maybe just not in my lifetime but) I feel like the one thing that AMG could do to change my opinion about this game from “like” to “love” is if they started making ships and fighters again and added a bunch more to the Galactic Republic and the Separatist’s armies!!! I know there isn’t a ton of ships and fighters their missing….. but there’s enough that if they made 1 box for both ships and fighters each month that they could keep going for a few years. And also double that time frame for both armies!!! A man can dream, right?!? Lol
Hey Crabbok, what is your opinion on the intel officer upgrade? I have been finding it useful, but I am a very new player and curious as to its viability.
It’s a great upgrade when paired with your opening ship. Whoever is gonna shoot first should use it. Don’t want to attack someone with orange defense tokens and use it, as they’d discard them anyhow.

15:18- I don’t know that card?!? It’s definitely on my list of ships I would like to have in my games but haven’t had the money for it and it was available at the same time (I try to buy from my LGS first……. But after a few months of me trying and asking and putting in requests I just need to cut my losses and order online)!?! But that supposed to be the “name” of the ship?!? “Firesprey-31”?!? That is definitely Slave 1!!! You know, Fett’s ship/fighter!!! Honestly, I feel like since it’s so much bigger than actual fighters that it wouldn’t be in that class…….. but in comparison to a Star Destroyer….. yeah, it’s small lol
Edit: All I did was add the name that is on this card (the middle card)! I remembered that I didn’t add it right as I hit the arrow button to send the comment!!!
It's not the Slave-1 that I'm referencing. The Slave-1 is a unique ship, but the class of ship itself is a Firespray-31 - just like how the Millennium Falcon is a unique ship but the class of ship itself is a YT-1300. I'm talking about generic Firesprays here, not the Slave-1.
@@Crabbokoh….. I know that with the big name ships and fighters the given name and the class names are different but I didn’t know that was the name of the class of ships!?! I guess now thinking of it, I don’t think I ever heard of the classes name nor ever looked into it….. mainly because I don’t think I’ve ever seen another one of those that wasn’t the Slave-1!?! But thank you! I really do appreciate the reply! I know a lot of the times people that see and reply to my comments/questions feel like I’m attacking them or the video it for and that’s why most I get sarcastic replies… but that wasn’t and isn’t my intentions on majority of my comments/questions! Most of the time it’s because I can’t think of a better way of asking the question or a better way to word the comment without making it 5X longer!?! But in the rare occasion I am attaching a video or just something that was said, it’s normal way more blatant and usually filled with sarcastic remarks! And in those cases I also always point out exactly what was said and follow that up with something like “that literally makes no sense” or “that is the dumbest thing I’ve ever heard”! But I get that since there are just so many trolls all over the internet that after awhile everyone starts sounding like a troll!?! But thanks again and I’m sorry this was long!!!
6:11- What do you mean by “squadron heavy list”? So how many fighters (aka fighter bases) would classify a “heavy list”? Now I’ve only played 2 games ever and that was a long time ago! Very rare when I get the time to go to my LGS to play. And when I do, almost always there is no one there to play Armada! So not much I can do about it!?! But unless I learned incorrectly, I like to have some fighters to kinda protect my bigger ships from my opponents fighters! And if my opponent doesn’t have fighters it makes it so much easier to make them shoot in all directions and then they can’t focus on my bigger ships! But if they do then my fighters can pick them apart!?!

Decimators are too powerful (OP). I limit them in my friendly games to 2 (no more than 2 squadrons over 20 points cost).

26:34- Wait…….. I should have noticed and asked this earlier, but……….. is this a top 6 “lists”? Or top 6 “ship builds” to ADD to a list?!? Because unless you’re talking about smaller games that aren’t the normal games then I’m pretty sure there are way more than 1 ship in a full list!?! I know the title doesn’t say “lists” but you definitely did say “lists” multiple times in the beginning!!! Just saying!!!

With all due respect; this is very misleading video. On what basis you make an assumption that presented ships are good competitively? Has anyone used it successfully in tournament environment repeatedly?
