The idea is to create a car of the future in a garage from the past. For this purpose, we bought a donor car, cut it down to the chassis, and on the remnants of former Japanese glory, we are building a new story. In the end, we should get a van of the future. 22:43 you can use pogo pins and conductive rings to pass power through the rear of the rim. (Will degrade over time and need replacing but should work for a decent amount of time)

Lights is a nice idea, how about using permanent magnets coils , capacitors and diodes for a power source that way it is self contained with no moving parts to generate power on the rims. That way you can space out the components to balance it to proven vibration. Thank you for your videos I enjoy them all. All the way from South Africa!

Sorry forgot to mention use a central frugal switch to active the lights. Very simple design and easy to make work. The diodes and capacitors act as the battery for the LEDs. You'll just be running at 1.5VDC instead of 12VDC.

As the wheel is spinning, why not try puting coupke batteries as power storage and for main power use coils in the wheels and magnets on the frame. Thta way you have magnetic induction which can grant you A LOT of power

I would 💯 proceed with the infinity mirror wheels. Even though it has been done by WCC, it will look even better on this van. Great work here guys. I'd love to see this done with wireless charging to take it to the next level! Having RGB strips with different pattern options could be really cool when the wheel is spinning as well. you may be able to achieve some wild pretty wild patterns with the combination of the LED strip pattern as well as the wheels rotation and infinity mirror.

If the Van is from the future the wheel should be powered with mini solar panel. If you can power a calculator you can power some LEDs. Probably not easy but hey... welcome to the future.

I like the mirrored wheels. I think you could get away with using some lithium batteries and a charger hole through the rim to the inside so you don't have to pull it apart between uses.

You could further complicate the wheels by adding evenly spaced battery cells and small solar panels? then wireless control the lights and maybe wireless trickle charge the battery bank if tiny solar panels disrupt the look to much or prove impractical

While they look interesting, there seems to already be several other exterior accent lights. Lighted wheels may be "too much of a good thing," --especially considering the difficulty of actually powering them. Have you considered projecting animated ground effects? You may get more out of that with less hassle.

the lights on the rims will rely make the van stand out and to power them i would use the brush pads being the van is going to be a display car it will be less to worry about when taking it out for shows not having to worry if the rims (batterys) are charged and just running it from the vans main power

The light is cool imo. But I was thinking isn't the overal height of the structure of the van a little too high. I know changing it will be kinda big thing in your plans but maybe consider some little design change. This will make 22 inch rims to look good and on place. Cuz you already did much work fitting those tyres and they are quite big.
But in the end this is your idea and your vision so I'm just saying.

how about placing magnets on the outside, and coils inside the wheel. every time a coil passes a magnet, it creates current, i.e. an ac voltage, use or make an AC to DC adapter to get a stable DC voltage which can then be used for various electronics inside the wheel

I don’t like the multicolored wheel. Better choose one nice color and have it pulsate like it is breathing: slowly increasing and decreasing the brightness of the light. Apple did this with its iBook laptops when in sleep mode.
