    Please, you dont have to explain yourself. Nobody is judging you for wanting to go home. I live in Germany, Im back to work now, we are wearing masks and being concoius of everything. A lot of people are back "on the streets" meeting each other in big groups etc. beer garden etc are open again (summer is coming) I think thats kind of irresponsible (especially teens) but meeting a friend or two while still keeping distance is totaly fine in my opinion. We are humans, we need that connection.

      I think it was right to explain herself at least to her british audience because it's true our government has been the absolute WORST so we have to take it upon ourselves to be safe, there are too many idiots out there that jump to conclusions and we all need a reminder as to WHY we make future decisions, so i commend Lizzy. I know plenty of people that aren't taking it seriously, my neighbours, my own family esp my brother goes out every night and claims hes being safe and my parents do fuck all about it despite my dads vulnerability. I would like to eventually hang out with a friend from a distance because it's so important, but zoom fills the gap for now! Stay safe!

    Lol when you said “hello” to the cat you sounded exactly like your mum - funny how we inherit these things! I also bought some shears but long handled ones. I trimmed the entire edge of my massive lawn and got a weird cramp in my hands 😂😂😂

    What you are feeling is so normal. When we are all living busy lives we manage the ups and downs largely on auto pilot and the momentum which drives us leaves little room for significant self reflection. How ever much we may have felt psychologically prepared for lockdown it was immediate , brutal and terrifying for us all. It took away everything we knew and trusted with little reassurance that we would ever get back to 'normal'. I totally relate to your descriptions. I find myself with masses of time but a complete inability to get even the most basic tasks done. I suppose we all have to find a new groove which we can relax into and then maybe this constant procrastination and anxiety might ease. We also need to be kind to ourselves and find our new new. Sending big hugs Lizzie, you may not feel like it but your vlogs are such a tonic.

    I feel totally the same lately - I'm happy going at a slower pace, adjusting to each day depending on the mood I wake up in. I think we just all have to take it at our own rhythm and do what works for us each day. Even 10 weeks in, it's still feeling so so surreal! Hope you're well Lizzy - loved this vlog, as always! xx

    Although I would agree with others that you needn’t have to explain your choices, I appreciate that you shared your thought process. We here in Toronto Canada are trying to adjust, opening some things and finally getting some sunny weather....we are struggling as a community in keeping safe, keeping others safe and taking care of mental & physical health! Keep well!

    I have been working throughout lockdown as I’m a teacher BUT if it’s taught me anything it’s been to appreciate the art of stillness and of listening to your body and instincts. Plus I can’t think of anything better than spending a day in the garden reading😊

    I definitely relate to you feeling stressed and finding it difficult to adjust to a moderately more "normal" version of life. I started back to my retail job almost 3 weeks ago, and they have been the LONGEST three weeks of my life; on top of that, I start a new office job next week, so I'm going through a transition with that as well. When I tell you that I have been exhausted and have gotten nothing done on my off-days, I mean it -- I get NOTHING done. Today, I woke up with the intention of going through my closet and finally folding down my winter clothing to make room for my new office pieces, and all I've managed to do all day is play Animal Crossing, watch UA-cam videos, and sleep; I have energy for nothing else, and haven't had since the second week of lock-down. Then there's the issue of me being anxious about being so exhausted, because I know extreme fatigue is a symptom of the virus, even though I do suffer from extreme fatigue all the time regardless. All this to say that you are not alone in feeling overwhelmed, anxious, or as if you can't function properly; this really is a huge adjustment we're all having to make, and it is overwhelming and tiring to have to make it. Glad you made it back home alright, and thanks for the honest vlog.

      Ohh gosh it sounds like you have a lot coming up!! I think in the moment you will hopefully get swept up in productivity, but please be kind to yourself with it all! I did the same thing - stayed with my mum while we were in full lockdown (was five weeks in New Zealand) and then went back home after the restrictions eased a little. I also live alone normally. The drive home was a mission though, don't drink coffee before you leave - all the public toilets were shut haha! Hope you're doing ok in the UK, sounds like it's really bad there. I feel so lucky we have essentially gotten rid of Coronvirus here now.

    Key to hackney social distancing is go out first thing in the morning imo. I try get out before 8am. Try a walk to the walled garden in Haggerston Park (avoiding bway market). Also generally walking up side streets which tend to be quiet. i've been pacing around walking streets I dont normally use, have a list of shops i want to visit when they open!

      just to add to what you were saying about the London situation: it's actually been like this since maybe 2 weeks after lockdown, it's kinda scary how much people don't care, they've all been out in the streets & parks since the very beginning. it really seems like nothing has changed even though nothing is the same in the world...

    Hey Lizzy, I had to pause from watching to agree with what you are saying about not getting the things done that you anticipated doing. I am the same way. I see so many people on Instagram and UA-cam, cleaning and organizing and doing creative things and that has not been me. Sometimes I just have to pull myself away from social media so I won't beat myself up over not being as productive as what is being portrayed. I can get one thing done a day, if that, to be perfectly honest. I give myself credit for making the bed!!! Anyway, just had to stop to say, I agree with you.

  • @laurenzopie7922
    @laurenzopie7922 4 роки тому +1

    I have found that having deadlines is what motivates me to get things done. I find that if I have a week off, and I have all these things I want to get done, I really don’t end up doing a lot of them maybe until the last day because I know that’s the last day.
    So, perhaps the lack of motivation is really from the fact that you know you have more time? I think it’s totally normal 🤔😊

    I think you should really try to use the setting spray even if you don't wear that much makeup. I don't wear much makeup but I recently tried the MAC Prep + Prime Fix + thing and it's wonderful because it makes the makeup "sink into" the skin more, and it also adds a bit of glow! Just a thought, you might like it even if you don't wear a ton of powder

I don't think any of us want to shop with companies engaging in unethical practices, but no company is perfect or untouched by ethical issues. I haven't been to go on a walk, some people are but mostly, no. I have noticed people sat on busses tend to be, and often shop workers. xx

      The virus will be with us all for at LEAST a year - are we all to lock ourselves inside for a year? Of course not. Life has to move on. And already many countries are pretty much back to normal. Since people who have to go to work are out and about every day, those who go out for walks/to exercise are out, and since we all come in contact with many people whenever we go to the shops, I'm not sure why you're concerned about with Lizzy's behaviour? xx
