My name is Canyon, and I haven't procured beadlock wheels from Amazon in 7days! Welcome to our group, Mr. Canyon. We will assign you a sponsor to get you through Amazon deal days. Only one of you will succeed - but don't be discouraged.
@CrawlerCanyon It's a problem for me when I tell my wife, you must have seen those wheels before, they've been here for years - you just didn't notice them..
I just posted this series on a TRX4 FB group as a reference for new owners. Your channel was already my guide in making my TRX4 into everything I wanted it to be well before you started this series. My daughter just got her first TRX4 Sport and I've been helping her build more capability and fun into it. Cut and siped S1 Canyon Trails for the win. Just the right amount of weight added and removed in the right places. It really is a tinkerer's truck!
I am really enjoying this series! You are making me consider getting a TRX4. And you are also to blame for me watching all 3 seasons on Ted Lasso in the last 2 weeks. LOL. Thanks for the constant entertainment
Mr. C, you need to look up fabric cutting wheels. It's a handle with a circular blade on it, and you roll it there. The design to cut fabric foam is a fabric
Wheel/tire wise you reached the limit I guess...very impressed what the vehicle can do...now its dialing in the suspension. Those wheels look ace...would be neat to have the axle covers painted in the same copper. Total cost invested up to now would be interesting and then a shootout with a stock VQ stance would be nice.
The Sport is still sitting at about $80 less than the purchase price of a Stance. In a direct against an out-of-the-box Stance and how the Sport sits right now, the Stance would really struggle. Awful electronics, rock hard foams, plastic wheels, etc. The advantages the Stance has are 22% OD, a much lighter body, SOA, and both link and shock mounting options. It's really comparing an apple to a pear, but I'd still recommend the Sport over a Stance, because a TRX-4 Sport and a $70 Injora LCG chassis and suddenly things are closer to an apples-to-apples situation-- and still $100 less than the Stance.
I was thinking of woodgrain for the bed but that flat black actually looks good in video. btw, I currently have at leaqst five sets of beadlocks I want to buy right now, even though I don't need them!
Would you be interested in evaluating a Titan 775 conversion kit we developed? The stump-pulling-torque on 6s puts a smile on one’s face every time. The kit consists of a professionally designed motor mount and servo mount.
Are those rcboyz heavier than the ones I've sent in with the temper is figured you'd keep an spare parts from that and use them as the canyon need was just curious
Definitely. Silicones are great for setup and tire testing, but very few builds end up with them long term. I even prefer the "Canyon Custom" over 3D printed, as printed inserts essentially have to be bespoke, printed for a specific tire on a specific rig. 3D printed inserts should be one of the last mods done to a vehicle, and if the printer doesn't ask the weight of the rig, there's every chance a simple dual-stage insert will be a better performer.
@@CrawlerCanyonI can't get the Timtins up here in the land of duty, over tax and high shipping costs so wondering how the Injora dual stage (blue) compare to the Timtins for the "canyon customs"??
The aftermarket can get you a whole 2-speed gearbox with servo attached for like 35 bucks. One of the advantages of a platform being unchanged for nearly a decade. I've found that many of the cloneboxes shift better, because the shift fork is aluminum, while the Traxxas part is plastic.
I've seen people put the "normal" class 2 tires on the High Trails with no other changes, and they just look like lifted trucks. Stuff like sidehill will obviously get better, as the shorter the tire, the lower the CG.
@CrawlerCanyon i have been wondering if i change the 2.2 canyon trails to 1.9 canyons, i have 12mm and 15mm hub extensions on the way,and outer portal covers to front (80g each) and metal covers to axle pumpkins and skid plate (120g)
Very good video! I have TRC20 USDT in my OKX wallet and I have my recovery phrase: [pride pole obtain together second when future mask review nature potato bulb] How do I transfer them to Binance?

I haven't bought wheels in 9 days, thank you! But I did by tires 3 days ago. So there's that.
@@CrawlerCanyon it's a start!)
@@gmummy I just bought some 2.2s. They looked too good.

This series is so entertaining, and its cool to see how to upgrade a rig slowly but efficiently

"I don't know where he's going, but he's going there!" 😂 Crawler Canyon November 2024 🎉
Kevin! Reminds of the mischief boy running around causing trouble at Christmas time. Haha 😆
The wheels stay now so well in ground, flexing alot more
It's easy to throw money at something. It's been fun following along to see how much can be maximized for a minimal expenditure of resources.

I vote the Sport being the new Baseline 🙏
Now we can clear the tires-list and start all over again 😁
Nothing "new" on a TRX4 sport😏

I'll test anything that shows up. How are you getting to 6S? I know a lot of folks do the 775 with a HW880, but that's limited to 4S. Dual ESCs?
Using a Mamba X on 6S. Where can I find your address?

do you prefer your nice Timtin setup you have come up with over the silicon or printed inserts like the injora blue??

Who’s gonna get a 4ws utb18? It looks pretty cool!
Damn i bought the outer cover that instals with only 2 screws, 80g each
Damn now i seen this,im annyoied that i didint order those bigger ones,i was worried it would not keep the grease in and water out

If you want 2 speed on sport, the kit to get 2 speed is 47e

Do you remember how to set the endpoints on your MT12? 😈
Honestly? Probably not. It would take me a few minutes, I'm sure. That's why I keep using RC4s.
Well i surely need switch my sport ht 2.2 stock plastic wheels to metal beadlocks

I do trail more than crawl, but i do crawl while trailing, and i have modded suspension to get full articulation,so the 1.9 would make sense now
And if i decide to go 1.9 beadlocks,i will first go aftermarket tires, because just 1.9 beadlocks are 35,and with tires its only like 42e
