- 1) Heater (Optional)
Is not necessary if you live in a tropical countries.
(I am living in Malaysia and the water temperature is around 25°-28°). If you live in a countries with four seasons, you will be needed a heater.
2) Air pump (Optional)
Is not necessary to have an air pump. Betta fish can survive without an air pump because they have a special respiratory organ called a labyrinth. Therefore, they just need very small amounts of oxygen. If you are keeping betta fish with other types of fish, then you will be needed an air pump.
3) Aquarium filter (Optional)
I don't install a filter because I do changes the water regularly. (Twice a week, 50% of the water every time). If you install a filter, please make sure the water flow is not too strong because they like calmer waters.
NOTE:
Acclimate your fish before placing it into the tank.
Bad water condition, stress or hungry will lead to Betta fish jump out from the tank.
Healthy Fish: Swimming around.
Unhealthy Fish: Sinking at the bottom or hiding always. - Навчання та стиль

@@SomeoneWhoHasExisted33 I cannot tell if you're being sarcastic or not. But 2 gallons is way too small. Just because it seems happy doesn't mean that actually is happy. If your fish has often been hiding under the plants or trying to hide from the light, that means it probably is too small. if you would like fish tank that looks better or takes up less room, at least get a 5 gallon. What I did was I got a 7 gallon, then I packed it with plants and a nice filter. If you cannot afford the least of what they deserve, you shouldn't own a fish.
@@una979 it swims around and responds well to everything I do. It has a heater and a nice filter in it. The tank is shorter and wider and the plants are around the edges for the fish to have space to swim. I can't stand to see my poor fish suffering through the pet store again. I take the best care I can of it but my parents won't let me have a bigger tank. Is there any way to improve the fish's quality of life in the conditions it has? I'm sorry to keep bugging you

Inform your parents on the situation of the tank and how the betta needs more space, or you can keep that tank but you MUST take care of the tank. Thank you for caring for your fish.

Bettas live in shallow but large habitats in nature, not tiny tanks....

First of all, those aren’t betta fish. And second of all. That is LITERALLY a candle holder sized container you are putting them in. With NO filter, NO heater, and NO air. Great fish keeping.

@@mcg9573 Even if it IS fin rot, it's more than likely because his tank is way to small, and he's just lying on the gravel because theres nothing else for him to do....which will also lead to tearing off his fins; it's common for bored bettas.
Beyond the obvious, that's not gravel, it was buoyant @Oblivion4870 . Aside from that, the bullshit seeds he laid on the substrate is at best plants that can handle high wetness, not full submersion.
That carpet, which would prevent the Betta from laying on the "gravel" will die fully submerged, and create an ammonia spike.
Because the creator posted this out of best ignorance, which promotes animal abuse, those animals were doomed from the start.
This would be a great fish home! Now all thats left to do is add a tank for them to live in 😊

5 gal min for males, 10 gal min for females, and 20 gal min for giants. Space shouldn’t be a luxury. Don’t get them if you don’t have space for them, it’s fine to have a jar of pretty plants.

People need to do proper research and take time in the set up because clearly there is no beneficial bacteria set up and cycled in that tank I just feel bad for these fish I took proper research and cautions for my betta and it’s in a 10 gallon tank with everything needed other people need to do the same
Please understand there is a difference between a animal surviving and thriving. We could all survive in a little apartment but boy life is better to me in a bigger environment. I guess as long as you change the poopy water like one a day you’ll be ok🤷🏽
