Sunshine returns as temperatures begin to warm heading into Hoopfest weekend

With an atmospheric trough overhead, scattered showers and thunderstorms started Thursday afternoon and persisted through sunset.
The sun returns Friday with temperatures climbing back to near 80 degrees by the weekend. Right now, Saturday is looking dry but Sunday brings an isolated storm for the final day of Hoopfest.
