You just need to buy net size of your pond and put 4 sticks at the four corners of the pond the cover the pond and attach them to the 4 sticks at the 4 corners . Watch the video to learn about lime application

If you want to go into hatching and achieve success there then plan to go and do practical in a farm if u just learn online u will not go any way further because they many things that happens during hatching u may not see online

@@abdulganiyyabdulazeez5006 more yield is dependent on management and not the pond but on concrete pond u change water more often while on earthen pond u change once a month so earthen pond has less stress but for result manage well and get best results
Is there a way of boosting the pH value of water in the pond if it's low and a way of decreasing it, if it too high. What is the best pH value for optimum result ?
Best is 6.5-7.5 you can use bromate soda to moderate it but can't make it constant u will need to keep checking it because new water will always change an old ph

@@fataigiwa it's same no particular quantity put little by little and test The water to see if has normalized, pour directly in the pond or dissolve by the pond water before pouring
You don't need to waste your time putting poultry waste in your fish pond except after digging u discover that the soil is whitish under then you get poultry waste and pour inside the pond allow it to stay with the little water after pumping out for 7 days then pump out the water and then treat the pond with lime before stocking
Pls after applying Lime at the process of preparing your pond...there was heavy rainfall which caused flood on the pond cos am yet to Bagg it round...do I still need to re apply lime again?
This video explains that u pump out the water and demud the pond meaning that no fish will be there and it says stock after 3-7 days meaning that your pond is free from the lime after the 3-7 days
@letusfarm0619 just to confirm, so we drain out the water after 3-7 days, introduce new water & stock? Or stock in same limed-water after 3-7days? Thanks
@@kimprince6048 stock in same line water no issues but if u prefer to change no problem it's still ok cos at the seventh day the lime has no effect again
All my ponds have net anytime I sell we only open a side and drag so I cannot remove the net and starts fixing when the fishes are already there if u can chat me when u want to fix yours I will direct u or get the guys that dig pond most if them do fixing also
@@monibagg8449 i don't go to peoples place to set up their ponds and if I have to send someone you will have to pay for expenses of transport and labour cost to the person

What are the possible disadvantage of not putting the industrial lime on the pond
Not killing living organisms which might feed on your catfish when stocked
Can same method be used for a concrete pond?

No catfish is a fresh water fish so salty water will kill it

I normally discourage salt treatment because if you over use it the fishes will all die as you know catfish is a fresh water fish
