Everybody knew that if he was allowed to perform he would take away the crores of endorsement contracts, maybe even stake claims for captaincy. On top of that he had ethics so will not be able to do the dirty work of BCCI in raising/crushing careers of cricketers which the board doesnt like. In a money driven BCCI all of these were red flags and hence he was never allowed to perform. In spite of this if we are still talking about him today its only because of the sheer talent that this man had!!!

Irfan Pathan was one of the best Left arm fast bowlers from India. That batch of Zaheer Khan, Irfan Pathan, Asish Nehera and later on RP Singh, they were lethal on their days. But as an unit they seldom would fire. That has been the problem for Indian pace attack, until the emergence of Shami and Bumrah. The consistency Shami and Bumrah have is phenomenal which made Indian pace battery one of the best now. We need no individual superstars, but an invincible team. And that is where we are heading to. That said, the last thing said in the video is very true. Ishan Kishan deserves more opportunities. He is a complete batsman. Let not a rare talent like Ishan be wasted.

he had a minimal pace of 130-135 kmphr similar to Arshdeep, once he changed his action he lost his swing as well which was his main weapon . He was never gonna become great bowler just like Arshdeep will never become great because of his lack of pace
