I have a weighted key digital and they are great because you can use headphones and not disturb others. 😉
Sounds great. I have a Yamaha Clavinova and love it. Though it's decades old, it still is performing wonderfully. I'd buy this Donner model in a heartbeat if I was in the market. If I could get one of my younger grandchildren interested in piano lessons, I'd give them mine and buy this for myself. 😊
I’m pleased to see that you demonstrated the actual piano’s sound using it’s built in speakers. This is the only way you can hear what the actual piano will sound like in your environment. The great majority of digital pianos are demonstrated by plugging their audio output directly into the mixer used to record the video. And, they do sound quite good in most cases, because you are hearing the samples direct. However, the true differences you find, in cost, from one model to another, in a manufacturer’s line, are in great part due to the audio output amplifiers and the amount, placement and quality of the speakers used in the piano.

Thank you! I’m in the market for a new digital piano. I’m an advanced pianist and my parents had a Yamaha baby grand, but I can’t afford that for myself… however like you said, the weight and feel of the keys is really important to me. I’ll definitely research Donner, and I appreciated your recommendation!

Sounds like a regular piano. I had lessons as a teen and have enjoyed listening to a piano being played (as you do so well!)

Hi Natalie, I saw some other reviews when they are playing the donner dpb 400 , I can hear some keys make a clunking sound when springing back up. I have a semi-weighted digital piano with clinking sound like that 😢, I am looking for a full weighted one, the donner 400 look great and the sound general is good, but I still worry about the issue that I said above. Please help to give me more advice about this. Thanks
I think that "clunking" sound is pretty common among electric pianos. They don't have a physical hammer action, so the technical components are not going to respond the same way. I previously had a Yamaha Clavinova that did the same thing.

What do you think for a small church - seating capacity about 50-55? Our acoustic piano is super old and not great and shipping costs make a new acoustic cost prohibitive.
My small church has a keyboard and baby grand in the auditorium. It’s hard for me to imagine the keyboard being enough for congregational on it’s own, but then I’ve never tried turning it all the way up… And of course it matters if you have the capability to play it through speakers for amplification. I would be so sad to not have a real piano. 🤷🏼♀️
We had an ancient piano and I prayed for an improvement and the Lord provided one for free! I’m still praying for the Yamaha of my heart, but what we have now is definitely an improvement and it was such a beautiful answer to prayer at the time.

Hallo Natalie, I'm sorry but this piano sounds very twinkle and so far from the great digital pianos like Roland fp30x, for example, for me n. 1!!!!!!!
We just got this Donner 400 it is disgusting. Sound is not good, keys are hard to play. Returned the same day! It is awful even for a beginner!!!
What did you get to replace it?
