- The Cars and Coffee meet at the Classic Motor Hub in April had a great turn out despite the horrible weather.
In amongst the classics was a pre production car version of a new British Sportscar called the Wells Vertige which we take a closer look at, along with a number of classics that caught our eye during the morning.
For those wishing to attend one of these meetings be aware its ticket only and needs to be pre-booked through their website.

Sorry about the audio quality due to the wind & rain despite using a Canon mic with wind protection. There was a reason no one else was filming in the middle of Storm Kathleen!! We did try to clean it up but wasn't improving.
another great upload......i was in turre in spain in january 2024 driving through and passed by a parked car similar to the wheeler dealer green 4x4 fiat panda .possibly a copy cat clone
Great content, Lovely looking cars and full gratitude to the owners for taking them out in that weather.
Couldn't agree more!
That “Wells” looks like an early stage G Murray ‘prototype’.. without the Cosworth input….
Fair play to those owners. 😅😅
Great selection, love the Lotus 😍
Me too!
I saw the other Wells at the British Motor Museum, very pretty car, especially in British racing green, a proper British sports car.
Agreed!
My friend had an RX7 replaced the rotary engine had it resprayed it’s original Maroon colour, looked immaculate drove really well,he spun it into a wall in the wet and wrote it off after about six weeks gutted.
Oops!
Was that RX7 an Elford Turbo one? If so pretty rare.
Good question, sadly I don't know the answer...
A rare car at a car show is a great thing but to have two of them as with those Lacias good stuff and that Wells a cool little spots car very retro styling and looks good
Very true!
Lovely cars and good video 🚗🚙🚘👏👏👏👏👍👍👍👍👍👍
Thank you 👍
Really enjoyed that. That early RX7 reminded me, in 1980'ish, a guy i didn't know, asked me if i could drive, (He was a mates neighbour), then asked me to take his 'TWR' black and gold RX7 to a local garage. It went like a turbine, smooth and fast. Amazed he trusted me. TWR was in gold each side rear window pillars, i think it stood for 'Tom Walkinshaw Racing'.
Glad you enjoyed it!
😰😨 I simply can not believe that classic car influences would think of taking their vehicles out on such a miserable ☔ rainy day ?. I myself would never dream of driving 🚘 any of my classic cars in such awful weather conditions !..
They ain’t ornaments, they can be cleaned, and at least the owners are out enjoying them and letting others see them.
The weather wasn't bad,a few brief, light showers and lots of wind to dry the cars off quickly! A good day out and a great drive through the Cotswolds. No point having them if you don't use them!
It wasn't great filming weather to be honest...
You need a proper microphone with wind protection. This isn’t good enough! Sorry.
Ask for your money back then.
If its not good enough don't watch it! Oscar is good enough to provide us with Sunday morning entertainment for nothing. If it bothers you so much you buy Oscar a different microphone
When I first heard this song, almost 60 years ago I fainted! My daughter is doing the typing now. I’ll be 87 years old come July but this song and accompanying video still makes me wet!
