Like your videos . Worked on a farm in the Yakima Valley for 8 years. I was just out of college and I loved working outside and loved working the ground. I enjoyed working with the equipment. All we worked with were Internationals. An H-M , a 504 a 656, a706, In 74 Pepe bought a brand new 1066 and when it was delivered I got the honor of driving it off the flat bed. Oh how I loved that 1066 ! No cab but it didn't matter at all. I especially liked th T-A feature ! I'm retired but those years were character building years The farmer was a fair, good Christian man. My brother's and I bought my grandfather's ranch in Nuevo Leon Mexico and we're going to put in practice what we learned years ago. For now we only have 4 cows . Again , thank you for your videos .
I figured that the audio was just responding to whatever programming it has to "home in" on nearby voices (as when you're narrating on the go) while dipping down the ambient sounds so your voice comes through, and then when you're not speaking it seems to dial up the ambient sound so we get a more accurate "sound of nature" (or the field as the case may be)... sounds like that's what it's doing anyway, you're at the mercy of the audio system in the camera's algorithm... It's slightly distracting but not really annoying per se.... I notice it only seems to do it when you start speaking and then adjusts itself back when you stop speaking... I know some cameras (not just action cams) were advertised with "sound canceling" technology to let you hear voices close by more clearly without being drowned out with ambient background noise... so I strongly suggest that's what's happening here. If there's no setting to turn it "off" (clearvoice or whatever they may happen to call it) then you're pretty much stuck with it. it's basically the exact sort of thing that it was designed for-- where do you get more ambient background "noise" than following a tractor around the field, and need that "noise" dialed down more so you can be heard speaking clearly. Only thing I can suggest is that if you want to hear the background noise, don't speak so as not to give the camera microphone anything to "lock onto" and automatically dial down the background noise, and then choose when and what to say, give it some time to realize that you're speaking (maybe make some innocuous comment to give the camera time to detect nearby speech and instigate the change to the sound levels) then speak clearly and succinctly whatever it is you want to say in terms of narration, and then don't speak again after you want it to go back to the background noise... or space your comments far enough apart so that the camera will adjust sound levels between the two different focuses (nearby or far away background noise) so it's not disconcerting to the viewer (or yourself since it's your video). Sometimes, one man's "feature" is another man's "bug" when it comes to these sorts of things LOL:) Good luck and appreciate the video! Later! OL J R :)
"Get over yourself, you'll see it when you see it" now that made me laugh. Great video, I notice the sound issue but it's not terrible. Hope helene didn't cause damage in your area
I like your videos and know your busy all the time. I have asked before but I am still asking did you decide to get rid of the.2-135 white you purchased with the Four wheel drive White. I haven't seen it at all and I just wondered. The fords work great but I always thought it would be a great replacement for the 1086 or at least to use along with it. Just wondered thanks for all the videos
71 Flexi virtually identical to these units, which were maybe IH 400's?? Or the ones just before the 400's. I know when the Cyclos first came out they had these basic ground row units that the Cyclo center hopper and metering drum were blowing the seeds out to through the hoses and directly down the seed tubes into the trench, and the press wheel closing them. These of course are the older plate units... They adapted them for use with the Cyclo; the press wheels didn't drive anything on the Cyclo units they had a carry wheel drive sprocket turning the seed population sprocket transmission to set the seeding rate centrally. These, like the 71 Flexi's, used bicycle chain and interchangeable sprockets on each row unit to set the population.... which makes them a very adaptable row unit in terms of row spacing and such because they're basically self-contained, just have to bolt them onto a suitable toolbar at whatever spacing you want. I had a 71 Flexi for a couple years but it never worked very well in our wet, heavy clay, so I bought a 7100 3 point version of the Deere 7000 pull type planter... it was set up for plates but I converted it to plateless drives, hoppers, and Kinze brush meters for soybeans, cotton, and grain sorghum, and finger pickups for corn...
Are you ever going to fix that 2+2 tractor ever again at all ??? Or is it just going to sit in the barn all torn apart and pieces missing already probably by now ??
@taylorjennings2218 we both know that if Nick's banker was a subscriber to nicks channel, he would have been lucky to buy one combine instead of three and still hire the combing out... but sometimes I relive the good old days and watch a couple of nick videos here and there for nostalgia sake
Still hoping you do that “where is Nic now” video 🤣

If you’re considering a mic have a look at the gopro media kit, I recently got it and it’s fantastic 👍👍
Good to see another great video waiting for more to come.

Aren’t you guys on 38 inch corn? That’s what we run.
Are you ever going to fix that 2+2 tractor ever again at all ??? Or is it just going to sit in the barn all torn apart and pieces missing already probably by now ??
I'm pretty sure it's fixed but needs to be reassembled.
What a lovely comment
He said in one video he’s fixing it right cause he wants one nice tractor on the farm complete with AC.
Whats Nick up to these days?😂
