I followed firesparks video and made a custom knockout tool. I used voidforged greataxe, took light/heavy damage to 1, and gave it concussion instead... spin to win baby
A new kind of orb would be nice, one that explode in a cloude like the gas orb, but instead of dealing HP damage over time, it will do concussion damage to thralls/npc and stamina damage to players within the cloud.
I would rather beat them over the head so that the rough drag to the wheel seems like a pleasant dream for the new recruit. Any time you catch yourself having to roofy a future partner in your exiled ventures to me it would feel cheaty and unworthy of your authority over the enthralled associate. A solid beating should enforce the Stockholm effect in my mind but thats just me.
Don't forget to press Q for auto aim when using lovetap or herritage while your enemy is on the ground so you can keep a solo target under stunlock. Also use those from horseback during surges!
I believe the blunted javelin was recently nerfed. There was a time when it was on par with the Reinforced Truncheon for subdual damage. Because of the move set, they've always been better for 1v1 fights than for confronting groups, though. The Lovetap is the clear best when trying to knock out multiple opponents at once, because of its mace move set and wide arc of effect.
It’s totally possible that they adjusted the Javelin. I don’t know because I don’t remember doing any extensive testing with it. I miss too many attacks with it for it to be viable for me.
@@wak4863 It's one of the few times when target lock is useful. It's a feast or famine weapon. If you get everything lined up just right, you can stunlock an opponent and just unload, but it's super easy to whiff half the attacks.
The irony is if want to use blunt arrows to knock out thralls, the accuracy attribute must be set as low as possible. I have very high accuracy. When i used blunt arrows to knock out a thrall, I killed him instead.
Have a try with the akbitanan throwing knives equipped with the lovetap. Throwing axes in general seem to do concussive damage when paired with a concussive weapon.
Blunt arrows are by far the superior knockout tool. You don't even need to PVP to use it. Just shoot from a tower. Especially nice in the city to steal some thralls, or anyone who's surrounded by other hostiles, or just much stronger than you. Makes it so you have buff thralls, more than you, far quicker.
Thx Wak. My current character is struggling with carry weight, too many pastries I think... Anyway I got super lucky and got the Predatory blade on my first kill of the brute (?). So despite also having Szeth's truncheon, I can now save some weight by using only the Predatory blade.
Great comparison video, thank you! I’ve been giving Lovetaps or Szeth’s Truncheon to thralls; however, I don’t remember if they attack heavy or light. If it’s light, I may switch over to using it myself.
Where do you find the Twice-Upon-A-Bow on the Isle of Siptah? I've tried searching the wiki and other videos but haven't found much info. I scanned your comments to see if this has already been asked and answered but didn't see it and if it has then I've overlooked it. Would like to get some help on how to get that bow please. I know you said in the video you have to delve to get it but what do I delve?
Question: if the bow does give more concussive dmg why not upgrade the truncheon with armor pen over a blunted weapon fitting? Or why not use blunted weapon fitting on the bow?
I actually tested the spiked weapon fitting on the truncheon but it is not better then the blunted weapon fitting. The extra armor pen is just a bonus on the bow because it’s possible to get it but should not be the focus. Both bows I used in the video had the blunted weapon fitting attached to them.
I like the Lovetap because it can be used while riding a horse unlike normal truncheons which makes it absolutely superior and worthy of it's legendary status. Don't use Predatory Blade as a knockout weapon with blunt fitting unless you got many spares. Put a dmg fit instead to delete any chaff that is around whoever you want to knockout. I always ride around with a spear as my main weapon though but if it's dark and you want to hold a torch bring your swingy sword of predatory madness.
Yes they updated the game this morning but the patch had some unintended issues pop up with characters you can read more here. forums.funcom.com/t/xbox-official-servers-maintenance-09-11-2020-now-resolved/147718
Every time I've tried using a bow with blunt arrows they do more physical damage than concussion damage. I literally kill thralls I'm trying to knock out. I assumed this was just a broken aspect of the game. What's the deal with this Wak? Is there some trick to not killing them?
Yeah trick is lowest possible damage number for your bow and high armor pen. With the new thrall system getting more armor pen on a bow is easier. Under 10 damage from the bow is kinda key. Put that blunted weapon fitting on it too it makes a huge difference.
What I do is make the basic bow you can create from your inventory crafting. This is the first bow you can make from the first feat you get. Then add a blunted weapon fitting to it. It does very low physical damage, but high concussive damage, and will seldom kill before knocking out NPCs when using the blunted arrows.
Wak, another informaive video. Many thanks and please keep them coming. You mentioned a T4 thrall with 100% chance ofspawning. Do you know of any other T4 thralls that do this?

Liam has a 1.93 but has a lot of points in damage out of the box so he measured up at first as well. More info here if you want to see them all ua-cam.com/video/p2bQI6XLEGE/v-deo.html

Yeah or a healing orb
Thats actualy a pretty good idea. Something like "Sleep gas orb" which put enemies to sleep or something like that. Could be pretty fun to use.

That accuracy thing was new to me but I don't go that high on accuracy because I'm not a good horse archer.
Yes it was new to me as well and honestly a bit odd not sure if it’s intended or not. But I don’t think it’s worth the points just for that.
